I was very excited to go with AirGreen. Their products looked good and qualified for the government grant, and the salesperson who came to our home was very kind and approachable. Unfortunately, the installation experience was disappointing. After the oil-to-heat-pump conversion, a large hole was left in our basement wall where part of the oil system had been removed. We were later told that they are not qualified to close it, so this now has to be handled at our own expense. There is a noticeable draft coming from this opening, and it affects how the basement retains heat. There were also loose ends left behind, including wiring left dangling from the ceiling. While our basement is older and will eventually be renovated, it is still part of our home. A few hours after the installers left, our deactivated alarm system suddenly began sounding. The alarm company confirmed the system is inactive, and we had to disconnect the battery ourselves to stop it. This now creates additional costs to repair or replace parts of a system we had planned to use in the future. Communication during installation was difficult, as the installers did not speak English or French. There was also an additional charge beyond the original quote. While this can happen, combined with the other issues, the overall experience was disappointing. This was our first time installing an HVAC system, and unfortunately it did not feel like a smooth or fully completed installation. I would not recommend AirGreen to homeowners who are new to HVAC systems.
Airgreen is a FIVE STAR operation. I had two HEAT PUMPS installed in my condo in Le Plateau-Mont-Royal. The two-man technical team that installed the units were excellent. They explained the process, the technical requirements, and the time it would take to complete the job. Hours later, I had two functioning units and my place was spotless. The pricing is VERY COMPETITIVE and their wide selection of units ensures there is an option for everyone. In addition, we worked out a payment plan that was conducive to my budget ~~ BONUS: Six weeks later I received the government grant in full!
Great job done in a day and half. Very satisfied with installation. Next day we realized that heat pump functions incorrectly. It takes time to get it fixed.
