Absolutely horrible experience.... Visit at your own risk....... Needed reading and long distance glasses..... They got both prescriptions absolutely wrong after waiting almost a month to be able to pick up the glasses......... After they got not one...but got BOTH prescriptions wrongo which I was obviously not a happy camper.and expressed my opinion and left.... I received a text message informing me to never go to their office again! They are the ones that messed everything up but somehow I'm the bad guy? They won't even take responsibility for their inappropriate actions that they themselves committed... Again use the optometrist at your own risk
I’ve been seeing Dr. Allen L. Beede for over 5 years for my annual eye exams. He is an excellent doctor professional, knowledgeable, and kind and I’ve always trusted his care. I visited for my routine checkup on July 8th, 2025. After my exam, I went to pick out eyewear. While I was waiting, several staff members were just sitting around and ignoring me no greeting, no help until Dr. Allen himself came out, noticed I had been waiting for a long time, and asked them to assist me. That alone was frustrating and embarrassing. On July 21st, I was notified that my glasses were ready. When I went in to pick them up, I realized the fitting measurement was completely wrong. When I sat down to discuss it, a staff member rudely told me to move because “one of their girls” wanted my seat. There was no apology or courtesy. They blamed the lab for the mistake and told me they would send the glasses back for correction, which would take 2–3 weeks. After 2 weeks, I called to check on the order. The person who answered, in a very rude tone, told me, “It might be ready sometime tomorrow,” and that was it—no apology, no explanation. I heard nothing from them afterward. over a week later, I called again, was kept on an extremely long hold, and when someone finally picked up, they were just as dismissive. They told me the glasses still weren’t ready. When I said I was disappointed, the response was simply, “Ok.” I have never experienced such bad customer service anywhere in my life. The lack of professionalism, accountability, and basic respect from the staff is shocking. I’m writing this review because I truly like and respect Dr. Allen, and I’ve been a loyal patient for years. But his staff’s behavior has made it impossible for me to continue coming back. They have completely lost my business, and I hope Dr. Allen sees this and takes serious action to fix these issues.
The BEST optometrist you will ever find!!! Absolutely love how friendly everyone is from the moment you walk in and leave, both Allen and Lisa are just absolutely wonderful!!!! The location area is so beautiful 😍 you get a wonderful view as you wait, it is a short time to enjoy the beautiful scenery 🤭 because they work professionally fast without you feeling rushed, they interact with you making you feel at ease like if you have known them for years, it's very clean, they do have a large amount of glasses to choose from. I've been to other optometrist and I have to say they are my favorite!!!!!
I hardly provide 1-star review but this is Doctor is extremely rude. After arriving **1 hour late** to appointment of my father in-law, he *never apologized*. Then after exam, he suddenly the left the room **without answering questions we had on cataract* and **never came back**. Lastly his office provided a generic referral letter *without mentioning the reason* for referral which was total wastage of time. Dr Beede - if you are reading this, not acceptable. High time you change how operate and care for patient
I am writing this review to warn others about my deeply concerning and frankly outrageous experience at the Allen L Beede clinic. If I could give zero stars, I would. I specifically requested and underwent an eye exam for contact lenses last week. As this was my first time getting an exam for contacts, I was completely unfamiliar with the process and trusted the clinic to provide the correct service and information. Instead, at the end of the exam, I was only given a prescription for glasses, which was missing all the critical parameters (like base curve and diameter) necessary to purchase contact lenses. A week later, after predictably failing to order contact lenses with the useless prescription they provided, I called the clinic to get the correct contact lens prescription. To my absolute shock, they informed me they would charge an additional $93 for the contact lens prescription. Here's the most infuriating part: After researching standard contact lens exam procedures online, it became evident how unprofessional my exam was. A proper contact lens exam requires a fitting to ensure the lenses are suitable and comfortable for your eyes. This was completely omitted. Even though NO contact lens fitting or trial was ever implemented during my exam – a critical step for any valid contact lens prescription – the staff had the audacity to tell me they could just give me the contact lens prescription (without me needing to visit again) if I simply paid them more. This is an outrageous attempt to bill a patient twice for what should have been a single, comprehensive service, and to charge for a "prescription" without completing the necessary professional procedures. They were perfectly willing to issue a prescription for an additional fee, seemingly without concern for proper eye health or fit. It feels like a clear effort to bypass insurance policies and unethically extract more money from patients. It's clear that their priority is not patient care, but profit. Once they realized my lack of familiarity with the process, it feels like they exploited my trust to try and "dig more profits and draw more blood”. This experience has been incredibly frustrating and disappointing. I will NEVER return to this clinic, and I strongly urge anyone considering Allen L Beede for their eye care to read this review and STAY AWAY. Protect your health and your hard-earned money from such unethical practitioners who are willing to charge you for incomplete services. There are other competent and ethical eye doctors out there – do not subject yourself to this clinic's deceptive practices.
