Avoid this music school. The tutors themselves were excellent, but as soon as I informed management that I planned to move to another school, they cancelled all of my prepaid upcoming lessons and have still not issued a refund. I have been chasing them for months with no resolution, leaving me no choice but to pursue the matter through small claims court. I originally decided to leave because several tutors were leaving and had mentioned issues with unpaid wages. Overall, my experience with the management has been extremely disappointing. I’d strongly recommend staying clear. The business is likely to go bust.
I’m very disappointed with Amplify management . I paid for a lesson that was cancelled, and despite repeated requests from August , my refund still hasn’t been processed. I would not recommend them based on my experience.”
Amplify Academy of Music is truly outstanding! The tutors are not only highly skilled but also incredibly attentive, adapting each lesson to suit the individual pace and style of every student. The entire staff is warm, supportive, and genuinely passionate about helping musicians thrive. Amplify fosters an inclusive and welcoming environment where creativity is celebrated and encouraged. Beyond individual lessons, the Academy offers fantastic group opportunities that bring students together in meaningful ways. The after-lesson workshops are a brilliant way for children to collaborate, build friendships, and express themselves creatively. One of the standout programs, Fire Up Friday, gives students the chance to meet peers, learn together, and make music in a fun, energetic setting. A recent and exciting addition to the schedule is adult lessons. I’ve joined the adult guitar class and am really enjoying it! The same high standard of tutoring applies—it's thoughtful, encouraging, and paced to suit each learner. It’s a wonderful way to reconnect with music or start a new journey altogether. Amplify is more than just a music school—it’s a vibrant community that nurtures talent, builds confidence, and inspires a lifelong love of music. We couldn’t be happier with our experience and highly recommend it to anyone looking for top-quality, student-centered music education.
My 11 and 14 yo spent a very happy week at Amplify music summer camp. The leaders and organisers were great with the kids. The programme of music tuition, performance, external trips and guest speakers was very impressive. I particularly appreciated the excellent communication during the organisation and booking process, as this gave me confidence that my kids’ needs were understood and met. Thanks to all.
My son has attended for guitar lessons for over two years now. Its been wonderful to watch him gain confidence as a musician and performer. He is Autistic and can struggle with anxiety. The staff have all been fantastic with him and have been quick to respond with any concerns or queries we've had. He's had the opportunity to take part in concerts and learn social skills in a small supported environment.
