I had a great experience shopping at this store and Marcus was an awesome sale associate. He had been so helpful and patient with us in every single aspect. He explained to us how the furniture would be moving into our living room and with that information given, we were able to purchase with a peace of mind. Thanks again!
Dana Uyeno the Assistant Manager was very professional, knowledgeable and very fun to shop with. There were so many beautiful choices but together we found the perfect size sofa, love seat and accent chair that I was looking for. I also had a very nice and fun experience shopping with Kelly Oda at Slumber World. I'll definately be back to see them to purchase more items. It was one of the best retail shopping experiences I've ever had. Thank you Dana and Kelly!!
Although Homeworld and Apt.are the same company the vibe and sales staff at Apt. are so much nicer, more approachable & helpful. We were tired and frustrated shopping for a sofa on Wayfair and Amazon for hours & quite a few days. I told my husband that I wanted to feel how comfortable the sofa was to sit on and to feel & touch the fabrics. So, we first went to Homeworld/Red Knot, “Just to look & get ideas”. A salesperson did approach us & we told him that we just wanted to look around and he left us alone which is good because we didn’t want a “helicopter” salesman following us. As we perused our way through the store, 25 minutes later, another salesman asked if he could help, we asked a few questions, told him we wanted smaller scale modular sofa for a small apartment. He showed us a set but the pieces were quite large and not suited for a 550sf apartment. Then I asked where the Apt. store was & he said, “They have the exact same furniture that we have here.” and we felt like we annoyed him. We drove to Apt. really not expecting to find anything and definitely did not intend to purchase a sofa on our first look. Also, in the back of my mind I expected not to see anything different from Homeworld/Red Knot. A salesman greeted us, explained that it was his day off, he was helping out and was available to help us. We told him that we were looking for a small scale modular sofa, he pointed us to two areas & let us wonder around. A bit later he found us and was joined by another salesman in the area we had honed in on two different sofas. We asked them lots of questions about colors, availability and if there was an option to get the module as a sofa instead of sleeper sofa. It was kind of strange that one guy didn’t know all of the answers, but together they looked up stuff on the computer and provided the right answers so that all of a sudden our “just looking” became “ we want to buy it”. The “It’s my day off” guy kind of disappeared and now a saleswoman came over to write up the sale with the other salesman looking on. He appeared to be learning and she would explain to him as she was typing in the information. We all went downstairs to the cashier and this is when we learned the name of the saleswoman, Dana Uyeno, and she revealed to us that the salesman, Dan, was an employee trainer who was learning the company’s roles and procedures. I told them about our not so great experience at Homeworld/Red Knot and how we did not intend to purchase anything today but did! After taking the fabric swatch home the color did not work for us. That evening I emailed Dana to inquire if the price would be the same if we changed our order to custom fabric. This morning between 930 & 10am, I received the email response from Dana. She provided the answer, her direct phone number and days off. We are pleased with the good service on our first visit to Apt.
Excellent service from Dana Uyeno. She was patient and knew the store products well. She also worked to meet our goals within our budget. The delivery boys were also professional and efficient.
I’m a little late getting around to this review but I still feel the same way. apt. (a part of CS Wo) is a wonderful place to shop for the apartment life. Right-size furniture, diverse selection. Customer service is great. Dana helped me on a couple occasions. Great energy, professional. I went in to return a table (too big for my space), it turned into an exchange. I needed a TV stand but didn’t see anything on the floor. Carmen researched their warehouse stock and found an excellent piece at a great price. My thanks to both of you and the staff.
