If I could give Black Umbrella Studio more than five stars, I absolutely would! From start to finish, the entire filming and event-hosting experience was nothing short of exceptional. To say I’m happy with mine and my clients experience here would be an understatement, the owner was so nice and helpful along with the manager. From helping set up equipment (that they provided!) to making sure the lighting was perfect and that we had everything we needed. I would absolutely recommend this studio to other photographers and their clients!

Booked the studio specifically for their cyc wall to shoot marketing footage os a large piece of equipment. I was traveling in from out of state and communication with Eddie was great! Everything went flawlessly on the day of our shoot. Eddie was very attentive to our needs and was one step ahead the entire time. Will definitely be rebooking when we need a great studio space for our shoots.

We booked this studio to arrange a surprise proposal for my best friend’s engagement that was supposed to happen on 02/22/25 at 5pm. However, when my best friend’s fiancé arrived to the studio at 4pm to begin setting up for the proposal, he was told that they had a party currently going on and that they overbooked. He was also informed that they had an old website that was still active, but they no longer used. However, the old booking site allowed for him to book the studio a month in advance, which required a $150 deposit that was successfully processed. The old site also sent him multiple confirmation notifications up until the date that he booked for. After being told there was nothing that could have been done at that time, we had to quickly come up with a new place to proceed forward with the proposal as we had also already booked with our photographer for that day as well. Everyone knows how important it is to have everything in order for special events especially a surprise proposal. So to have things suddenly fall apart was extremely inconveniencing. The $150 was eventually refunded, but that does not take a way the passion, dedication, and creativity put into what was supposed to be a meaningful surprise. We understand there was little that could have been done in the moment, but hope you all learn to develop the character of having empathy in situations like this one to not sour prospective relationships with future or returning customers.

If you are looking for a sign to shoot here, here it is! My client and I thoroughly enjoyed our shoot time at the Black Umbrella Studio. Luis, the owner, was welcoming, knowledgeable, and very helpful. He went out of his way to make sure my client and I had everything we needed, and even helped me move around lighting. I will definitely be coming back.
