Bond Vets model is hiring undertrained (and so cheaper to their bottom line) vets right out of school and providing them little apprenticeship to learn how to care for patients. As a result, this location (and its doctors) is unprofessional and does not treat dogs or their caretakers with respect. I would strongly advise against attending this location and Bond Vet altogether. They tack on unnecessary services for the sake of personal profit, and charge rates much higher than those of higher quality vets. Furthermore, they are incapable of quality diagnoses. They failed to diagnose an ear infection our dog had for 2 years, despite our continuous pleas that she did have an ear infection and it was not in fact allergies. Only after moving to a second opinion did we receive proper treatment. We chose it for convenience, but we will never be returning here and I would advise all future patients to do the same. If you do attend here, I have provided below a list of doctors I wouldn’t recommend, and a list of doctors I would recommend based on our experience with their ability to properly diagnose issues with our dog. Doctors who failed to treat our dog with proper care: Dr. Lau Dr. Kantor Dr. Denninger Dr. Karandikar Quality doctor care we received: Dr. Koenig Dr. Thomasch
I brought my cat in 2 months ago because I noticed he may have feline asthma. They quoted me $2k and I left due to not being able to pay it at that time. I came back a month later and was then quoted $1k to run tests. Testing came back positive for feline asthma - it’s been over 2 weeks since this appointment, and the vet has not approved his prescription for his inhaler despite me calling multiple times to see what the delay is about. Approving medication for pets who need it is not a difficult task but a simple and necessary one so their condition can hopefully improve. Called again today and she told me it would be approved within half an hour since the doctor is in today… we’ll see.
every time i come here, i leave dissapointed, angry and annoyed. i don’t have my own dog but i foster rescue dogs a lot and sometimes i need vet care for my foster pups that is somewhat urgent. i always cover the bills myself although with foster dogs it’s rescue’s responsibility. i absolutely hate this place. the staff are unprofessional, inattentive, and are more focused on overcharging you than actually helping. no one listens, people have no basic understanding of what a “foster” dog means vs. adopted dog / own dog. this is infuriating to me. the staff never explains anything beforehand and frankly show little genuine care for the animals or people who brought the dog. charging $40 for a plastic cone is absolutely disguisting behaviour.
I had a very disappointing experience at this clinic. I brought my two puppies in for a fetal exam ahead of their training. I called the clinic on the 4th and 5th day after the appointment with no response. On the 6th day, I went in person, only to be told I couldn’t get the results because the doctor wasn’t there. After leaving a review, someone finally called to provide the results, but the lack of communication and responsiveness was extremely frustrating. I cannot recommend this clinic and will not be returning.
Had my puppy Annabel spayed today at this location by Dr Yoon. We arrived 8:30 am and I picked her up at 1 pm. They were great, and gave puppy a Certificate of Bravery, which made my day! All went smoothly and done with care and expertise. Recommend highly
