We’ve been bringing a young man (9 year old) for a little over a month. I cannot write enough positives about Break Free, and those working there. We attended a ‘taster session’ with said young man. We weren’t really expecting much, just something to do to occupy a 9 year old finished with school for the summer holidays. We were immediately impressed by, pretty much, everything. We signed him up for the monthly ‘full unlimited’ membership. He could attend as many ‘beginner’ classes as he wanted. We’ve pretty much brought him every day. Breaking has been fantastic physical exercise for him. It’s almost an hour of moderate to intense cardiovascular and strength exercise daily. That’s not an easy thing to achieve with a 9 year old. He’s learning discipline, following instructions, teamwork, humility, an understanding of the fundamentals of a genuine art-form. He’s having a lot of fun in an environment that every attendee and instructor is enjoying. Everyone wants to be there. This is very easy to pick up on. It also serves as a community hub and hang out. A genuinely lovely and welcoming vibe. There are often opportunities to attend events and additional workshops. Parents and guardians are very much involved and informed. You will be as much a part of the operation of things as the attendee. If you want to be. I don’t mean actually doing the breakdancing….. Although if you do want to learn some basics, they are quite obliging. The instructors are professionals, they are genuinely elite. And there is a respect and love for breaking, and the broader culture and world of breakdancing that really rubs off. Child’s safety and wellbeing is paramount, and it’s very clear to see. They are good with children, they are genuinely caring and encouraging. It is also very, very, very good value compared to a lot of things ‘for kids’. There’s even a nice little ‘boxers gym’ area, (mostly free weights, bars and benches) parents and guardians etc. can use. Very much a ‘mi casa, su casa’ mentality. I absolutely love everything about this place and will recommend it wholeheartedly. Thank you Break Free!! You are appreciated.

Break Free Hip Hop School... Ahora, así es como se llega a la juventud de la nación... ¡Este lugar lo hace bien! El personal es de primera clase y se esfuerza para que te sientas cómodo. Ellos saben lo que están haciendo, amigos. ¡Ambiente increíble! Tienen una escuela de hip hop y break dance, una escuela de DJ, una clase de arte, y pronto una clase de multimedia para cualquiera que quiera aprender a producir, mezclar o ser YouTuber... Mi hijo mayor acaba de terminar su primera semana de campamento en Break Free y no podría estar más impresionado con este programa. Jeremy fue de gran ayuda para inscribirnos y enviarnos toda la información que necesitábamos. El espacio es impecable y bien equipado, y los instructores son increíbles. Mi hijo no puede esperar para la próxima semana de campamento y ya está suplicando asistir a clases semanales este otoño. ¡Gracias a Break Free por exponer a los niños a la cultura del hip hop en un ambiente tan positivo y envolvente!
