I’m getting a mini split system installed and I am not confident that their recommendation is right for my space. When I changed the number of units from 3-2, I don’t think the price change reflected the difference in the units or the difference in materials and labor needed. They kept the size of the condenser the same which is a quad zone. I was told that Mitsubishi doesn’t make a dual port in the size I needed but I found one online. There was a lot of miscommunication between the installers, the project manager, the front office, and me. There was something strange about their payment procedure. I thought it was very unprofessional and bordered on illegal in that they charged the credit card I used for the down payment for the second payment without my approval. I never said they could keep it on file. Honestly, at that point I wanted to cancel my order and return everything and go with a different company. It’s too early to comment on the installation but from my experience so far, I cannot recommend this company.
I called them unexpectedly and the work was phenomenal. His name was Philip and he was so attentive and absolutely knew what he was talking and was able to solve my problem expeditiously. I will always call back and recommend him thank you the company is truly amazing.
Calloway & Sons are a very reputable company that I highly recommend. Mary & Phillip were an absolute pleasure to work with, they took their time to design a system that works perfectly for my needs at a reasonable price. I’m so excited that my home will finally be comfortable in every room and my units are so quiet I don’t even know they are on. When the technicians came to install they were equally professional and very neat. I’m so happy for doing my research and choosing Calloway & Sons. I’m very sorry but after a year and a half I have to edit my review. I realize now that the reason they were the least expensive was because they did not properly specify the proper system for my house. The first summer I could never get the house cool enough and then this past winter I was constantly cold in every room and whenever I felt the air coming out of the system it was actually cool instead of warm and in the summer it was hot instead of cool. I complained and they said they would come and look at it for a service charge because my 1 year labor warranty was up by 1 month. I insisted there was definitely something wrong from the start so they gave it quick look and said they were working fine and I just needed another unit. When they sold me the 3 indoor units with one outside compressor it was with the understanding that I could add a fourth indoor unit if needed. When they came to look at it they said I had a 36,000 Btu compressor outside and my 3 indoor units equaled 36,000 Btu so a fourth could not be added. I said, why then did you sell me a unit equipped with a fourth port if I never could have used it anyway. I’m sorry but they were very misleading by telling me I could upgrade if needed. I ended up buying a fourth unit with another separate compressor and they promised it would solve my problem. Well this summer came and once again the original 3 units never could get cool enough to make my home comfortable. The fourth works fine but the other 3 still put out warm air. Fed up with spending over $20,000 with them I finally called another company that looked at my 3 units and said there is definitely a problem. They spent an hour on the phone with Mitsubishi to troubleshoot and made the needed adjustments along with adding more Freon. Evidently the units were never properly set when installed. Calloway had insisted everything was ok and talked me into a fourth unit for no reason. I should have went with H&E from the start, they were able to get my 3 units working better than they had from the start.
Calloway & Son's techs were very knowledgeable and clearly explained the problematic issues with my old A/C system giving me all the information I needed in deciding to replace it. The price for the new system was great with the installation schedule in a few days. Today my new AC system was installed by Calloway & Son's and we couldn't be happier. From the initial consultation with Philip and Josh to the final installation by Chandon, Dominic and Brandon, the entire process was smooth and professional. The technicians were punctual, courteous, and explained everything clearly. The installation was done efficiently, and they left work area spotless. Our home is now much more comfortable thanks to their great work!"
I had an excellent experience with Calloway & Sons A/C and Heating! From start to finish, the team was professional, knowledgeable, and efficient. I was without AC and needed a quick turnaround—and they absolutely delivered. Josh was the first technician I spoke with, and he did a fantastic job advising me. He took the time to thoroughly answer all of my questions and concerns, which really helped me feel confident about the process. Brandon and Chandon handled the installation of my new HVAC system, and they were outstanding. They worked seamlessly together and did a flawless job. Their attention to detail and professionalism were top-notch. They recommend a smart Thermostate which helped balance out the temperature between my upstairs and downstairs.
