Went to purchase plants walked by two co-workers engaged in a conversation walked past and wasn’t acknowledged. A white woman then walked pass and they asked did you need help with anything any questions. I politely placed items down and walked out of the store. Good customer service should be for all customers not just for ones that look like you. Stayed in the parking lot to write the review the white customer spent maybe 20 bucks on her plant. My purchase would have been a much larger. Please do better and treat all customers equally!!!
I can’t say enough good things about Calloway’s Nursery. I happened upon the store in Hulen when I was in Ft.Worth and got the BEST service ever from Kenny and Don. I have since purchased 14 trees from them and still waiting for 4 more to come in. (They’re out of stock at the moment). Kenny will call call me when they come in so I can pay for them. I trust them so much that I have officially become a loyal Calloway’s customer. By the way…. My trees are doing great!!!!! Growing already.
This location is huge! Tons of outdoor plants, an indoor greenhouse, a large selection of seeds and pots and planters, and some small trees. Be sure to walk all the way to the back, the store just keeps going! The staff are super knowledgeable as well and everything was very well organized and in great condition. Highly recommend this location.
Calloway’s is my little slice of heaven. For so many reasons: 1. Quality, quality, quality. Everything is beautifully cared for and every plant I’ve brought home thrives. Sure, some might say it’s expensive, but it’s worth it. It’s a local nursery so of course prices will be slightly higher than lowes, Walmart, or Home Depot! 2. They have great sales. 3. Stock + selection. It seems every time I go there’s something new; only one time did I go and they were low in stock…it was July 4th aka holiday weekend. 4. IT IS SO PEACEFUL. I could spend hours there. Also, they keep the outdoor space as cool as they can with sun shades and fans. 5. The garden center is not too big, nor is it too small. [For context: Archie’s is too overwhelming and big, and everything is spread out] 6. Helpful, pleasant employees. There’s always someone around to ask questions and they always have an answer…if someone doesn’t, they’ll flag someone who does. [Compared to Archie’s: the employees who know anything all congregate at the front entrance, which makes getting an answer to a simple question cumbersome because the property is so large.]
