Our son started at Charm City MMA when he was just three years old in the Little Ninjas program, and from the very beginning, it felt like more than just an activity. He’s also participated in the summer camp and aftercare program, and each experience has helped shape him into a more confident, disciplined, and socially aware child What truly sets Charm City MMA apart is the heart behind it. This place is a true partner to the community and a genuine third place for children; a safe space beyond home and school where kids are seen, supported, and encouraged to grow. In a world where social media replaces real connection, where parents don’t always feel safe letting kids play freely outside, and where meaningful peer interaction is harder to come by, Charm City MMA fills a gap that so many families feel deeply. Here, kids aren’t just learning martial arts. They’re learning how to communicate, respect others, manage emotions, and build real relationships. The sense of belonging is real. The work Joe and Nijah are doing comes from a place of care, purpose, and commitment, and it shows in every child who walks through the door. At this point, Charm City MMA isn’t just something our son attends; it’s part of our family. And for that, we are endlessly grateful
This has been a transformative experience for our son! Each of the coaches we’ve interacted with has been truly supportive and committed to the creed, which they take very seriously! Can’t say enough good things. We are lucky to have CCMMA in the city!
Absolutely love supporting students at CCMMA! We cultivate a community where all students can grow and feel successful no matter what their goals are. We have students as young as 3 and as old as 76 who train with us daily. It truly doesn’t matter if you are a novice or expert, there is space to grow and learn. There’s after-school, summer camp, boxing, kickboxing, wrestling, mma, jiu jitsu, weapons and so much more. Come check us out for yourself!
Charm City MMA is absolutely amazing! I am one of the parents and leaders and I am getting fit and stronger each day. The encouragement and empowerment here is so needed for each person. Coach Joe & Coach Nyjah are so caring and challenging in fitness training and strengthening the core and mindset. I truly recommend Charm City MMA for everybody, anybody and somebody! Coach Joe and Coach Nyjah are an absolute blast to work with! They are exceptional in their skills, and they make sure that they push me to my fullest potential. Whether experienced with martial arts or just a beginner, they will cater to your needs. I have my brother in their after-school program in that they also teach them martial arts, but more importantly, the discipline and mindset that it requires. They treat each member like family, and it’s worth the time to train here :)
