The City Planter is a wonderful quaint indoor and outdoor green space with a great collection of tropical plants. My wife and I enjoyed the many funky plant displays and good conversation. The horticultural professionals were very friendly and helpful. The space inspires new ideas for my landscaping business.

The shop itself is lovely. Full of greenery with a variety of options and prices. It’s is seemingly well maintained, & smells (appropriately) like you’ve walked into a forest. Was looking forward to making a few purchases there between the plants and the candle selection, but unfortunately, just as someone else mentioned, the customer service was nonexistent. Two women were working, who I did circle past, but neither bothered to greet me or offer assistance. Definitely an unfortunate experience, because while I made a point to walk by both of them, the fact that no one offered a simple “hello,” drove my decision to leave empty-handed.

City Planter is a fabulous plant shop. They carry a nice variety of plants, both common and not so common. The shop is well maintained and decorative. The customer service was good. The woman was definitely helpful. It’s pricier than most other places I’ve been. It is one of the best places to buy plants in Philly. I will be going back.
