I have been going to this store for years!! Every time we go back to Waikīkī, we make sure to make a stop here to buy a piece to add to our collection back home in Colorado! It has now become a tradition for us. Also, years ago, one of my pieces was destroyed by our puppy, and when I contacted CocoNene to purchase a new one, they not only shipped it for free but also replaced the piece at no charge. I am impressed by their customer service! This is why we return every time we visit! Thank you! 🙏

This store is amazing! Lots of beautiful wooden art puzzles and gifts. All designed and made by local Hawaiian artists. There is a wall where you can mix and match designs to create your own custom showpiece. The staff are super sweet and helpful too. We loved it so much we went there twice.
This place was lovely and it’s a unique gift that you can get your family/friends. It’s a local business, so it’s all made in Hawaii. You choose your own stand size and put whatever you want on the stand. Each item costs an additional fee, so that can add up quickly. However, it is unique and you put yourself into each product made because you’re choosing which pieces to put together. It’s fun, creative, and an interactive experience!
CocoNene, it’s got heart. Personality. A pulse. You build your souvenir here. Piece by piece. A little slice of Hawaii, curated by you. I walked in, I had no clue what I was looking at. Wooden bits, frames, tiny colorful pieces of Hawaii scattered like puzzle parts. But then Alex showed up. She walked us through it—pick your base, add Diamond Head, a palm tree, maybe a little rainbow action. Waikiki in a frame. Simple concept. Pure genius. I ended up with a photo frame that somehow said more about my trip than a thousand photos ever could. Sure, you can hit up the ABC Store or Don Quijote and fill your bag with keychains and macadamia nuts wrapped in kitsch. But nothing feels as personal—or as fun—as what you get here. And honestly, it’s not just the stuff. It’s the people. It’s Alex. It’s that rare moment of connection in a place that too often feels like it's been polished down to nothing but a postcard. This place? Like Lanikai sand in your shoes. It sticks with you.
