Desert Wolf Tours was not only awesome, but educational as well. Tour Guide Derik shared information on cactus plant life and animal wildlife, pertaining to the desert. We even had the chance to see wild donkeys, roaming the mountain side. The landscape scenery is beautiful. The 4 seater TomCat had just enough room, to be comfortable. The TomCar has great suspension and torque to crawl up and down the mountain trails. We were warned about the cars having manual brakes and steering, however that was not an issue. I had a blast driving the TomCar. Having an off-road rock crawling background from years ago, this adventure brought memories and an awesome experience that I will never forget. All in all, if your in Northern Phoenix, I HIGHLY recommend you reach out to Desert Wolf and schedule a tour! Being from Weat Tennessee, Desert Wolf Tours made a lasting impression on my 1st trip to Phoenix! ! !
FABULOUS! There is certainly no wonder you all have been named number one for over a decade. This is one of the best excursions we’ve had in over 30 years. It was first class from the beginning to the end~all-terrain military grade vehicle to the fabulous Mountain landscape to include so much various wildlife as well as captivating various cactus species, trees, brush, wildflowers. Our guide, Ian, is an Army Veteran and made our tour a six star if five is the best I can give. His knowledge and personality made our day so special. God bless you and thank you for your service, Ian! It was also wonderful to meet your marine counterpart, Tyler, as well. Many thanks for his service as well.
Had work team event and had the pleasure to have Tyler and Derik as our guides, they made the experience beyond fun, educational and entertaining! I wasn’t expected to learn as much about the plants and animals as we did…kudos to Derik on his education and weaving in some great funny comments! I really appreciated the level of comedy that was subtle yet witty, got to listen closely to get the most entertainment. Thanks guys for taking great care of us, our group of 18 had a blast!
I cannot say enough amazing things about our experience with Dessert Wolf Tours and especially our tour guide Eric! From the moment the tour began, Eric’s energy, knowledge, and passion made the entire adventure unforgettable. He went above and beyond to make sure everyone was comfortable, laughing, and truly immersed in the magic of the desert. Eric has that rare gift of turning a fun outing into a core memory. He’s incredibly knowledgeable, but also hilarious, kind, and genuinely cares that everyone has the best time possible. You can tell he loves what he does and it shows in every detail. Honestly, I’d come back just for him another tour, absolute best experience imaginable. 🌵✨
We toured with Desert Wolf in 2016 and booked again in October 2025 to have our family experience Sonoran Desert riding. Our expert guide, Derik, was great and shared his knowledge of the plant and wildlife of the area. The Tomcars are fun vehicles to drive, just keep in mind no power steering or brakes. It was a beautiful afternoon for the tour and truly enjoyed the adventure with Derik. I highly recommend this company and tour if you want to experience some outdoor fun and adventure!
