Hostage is a fun game and anyone looking to try an escape room here should give this one a try. Patrick - our host - was very kind and patient with us. He helped us through it all nicely.

Do **not** book the H.O.P.E. room. It’s a beta concept offered at half price, but it should honestly stay in the testing phase. I almost walked out twice during the experience. This is **not** an escape room — it’s more of a conceptual piece exploring humanity and virtues from a divine angle. While it’s advertised as a 3/5 difficulty and 1/5 puzzle room, as an experienced escape room enthusiast, I’d rate it a 1/10. There’s no real challenge or puzzles — just confusion and frustration. I wouldn’t recommend it to anyone looking for a genuine escape room experience.

DO NOT TRY LOCKDOWN! Our group entered this room with high expectations, but the overall experience was disappointing and poorly executed. 1. Overwhelming Number of Locks The game featured an excessive number of locks — easily between 10 and 20 — all crammed into a single 60-minute session. Rather than building tension or excitement, this design made the experience feel rushed and repetitive. 2. Poor Lighting and Eye-Straining Effects The room was dim from the start, making it hard to spot clues or read text. At one point, we got UV light flashlights, and the main light turned off completely. The glare from that light was uncomfortable and disorienting — after a few minutes, both my eyes and head felt dizzy. 3. Unbalanced Game Duration and Puzzle Load The amount of content simply didn’t match the allotted time. Given the sheer number and difficulty of puzzles, the game should have offered at least 20–30 extra minutes for a fair and enjoyable pace. Instead, it felt like a race against the clock, leaving no room to appreciate any puzzle-solving satisfaction. We are told to be the top 3 group and still left with more than 5 locks! 4. Flawed Puzzle Logic Several puzzles lacked coherent logic or meaningful clues. One required pure trial and error using numbers the game master had to feed us. Another involved connecting wires — but even the staff didn’t know how it was supposed to work, forcing us to skip that part entirely. 5. Lack of Immersion and Cohesion Rather than unfolding as a story, the room felt like a random assortment of locks and riddles thrown together. The absence of narrative flow or logical progression made it hard to stay engaged.

Do NOT do the H.O.P.E room. This is a Beta room that is marked at half the price and this concept needs to never leave testing. I almost walked out of the experience twice. I do not recommend this to anyone looking for an escape room. This is a conceptual piece that dives into humanity and virtues from a divine perspective. This is NOT an escape room. The room is advertised as a 3/5 Difficulty room and 1/5 puzzle. As a very experienced Escape room goer, I rate this room a 1/10. No difficulty and no puzzles, just confusion and irritation. -Spoilers Below- This is not an escape room. Every puzzle is an arbitrary nonsensical task that has no right answer. You have a 'goddess' watching over you and telling you when you are done or appeased them. Then they manually click in the control room to move you to the next stage. Usually by lights turning on or off, or a door opening. 0 logic puzzles. Your answers don't matter. The ENTIRE puzzle you are on your hands and knees. 45/60 minutes I was crawling on hard plastic lego like pieces or barely carpeted wood. The sound system is really bad and in the first room you are unable to hear any of the announcements or instructions. My partner almost accidentally tore off a component of a puzzle because its not secured. There is no cohesive story, at the end they give you an 'Analysis' of your arbitrary answers that fully felt like random scores and writing. Cause there is 0 way for them to know our answers. No electronics are used besides some LEDs and door latches. I do not put any blame on our host Amy. She was super nice and did her best with what this company has come up with. This concept needs to be torn down. Not worth the money. Other rooms may be okay at this location but we will not be coming back. 2/5 stars. 1 star just to give them benefit of the doubt, another for Amy.

MILJT MAN I LOVE JESSE TRAN!!! Jesse was a great host and my group had a lot of fun with hostsge! though we didn’t escape, the scene and atmosphere was definitely scary for me which was great. i do think that this room couldve benefitted on more “puzzles” instead of just looking for stuff. other than that a very enjoyable experience
