EDIT: We were contacted by Taylor at Escape Games entertainment. She was super understanding and friendly on the phone. We were invited to do a room at a different location that had the same rooms as this location and we had a great time. We were also told that they had fixed the issues we mentioned below. We did the Witch's Coven. Some of the puzzles seemed like they were going to break when we touched them (mainly in the second room). The wand we had to use broke and we noticed it was held together with electical tape. We were missing pieces of plaques that had recipes on it (we thoroughly looked over both rooms, even pulling back curtains and looking under the table and chairs). When we addressed this with the attendant at the front, he simply told us that "People were breaking them so we decided to make a game out of it. We just hide it around the room." When we told him we thoroughly looked, "Oh they must still be hidden in the room." A lot of these puzzles seemed poorly put together and glitchy. Even the props looked thrown together with little to no effort. It's a shame, because we've completed all rooms in 3 different escape room locations in Hamilton and completed a few rooms in locations in Burlington. I want to give this location the benefit of the doubt considering it's associated with The Alcatraz which we're huge fans and recommend them to anyone wanting to try out escape rooms, but I can't justify giving this particular location my money to be disappointed like that again.

What an awesome adventure. We finished it, really enjoyed experience. The staff was helpful, funny, and a pleasure to talk with. Well worth the trip, quality time, family adventure. Dylan was great, lots of laughs, well suited for customer service. Thanks so much.

Had a blast with the family doing Jay’s 80’s themed escape room. Was a great time and we’ll definitely come back to try another room next time we’re in the area. Dylan was an absolute riot and made the experience enjoyable.

We will be returning. We did Jays 80 room. We loved it! Puzzles were challenging and fun. Unfortunately we did not make it out but were super close. Dylan is awesome and I highly recommend!!

Disappointing first experience here. Having done a lot of previous escape rooms this one did not impress. Price was comparable to every other one I've done but it felt low budget. When we walked in, all of the doors to all escape rooms were open so we could see all of the rooms with lights bright on and any additional doors within the rooms were also open. It made it lose some of the allure or appeal of escape rooms. We did kidnapped and it was okay. Puzzles were logical and not overly challenging for 2 of us, but we mostly enjoyed what we solved. I feel that anymore than 3 people in this room would be too much. The way you start the room wasn't really obvious and we weren't sure if we were allowed to move around the room from the get go, so have to use walkie talkie to confirm we were allowed to move around. Biggest issue was that part of the room malfunctioned but we didn't know that, so we couldn't figure out the last puzzle as we had none of the relevant information. So we got the clues on the iPad to just give us the answer to the puzzle we didn't know we had to solve and "escaped". Once the employee came to get us and we asked how we were supposed to get the final code, he noted that he didn't realize part of the room wasn't working and we couldn't solve it without the missing information. Super disappointing and employee was mostly like ' oh that sucks' . Did not offer anything for a malfunctioning room. Would not go back here.
