Great place for a venue. In historic downtown Plano, near lots of restaurants and shops. The inside is brick and vaulted. We say a Poe show here and it was perfect for that gothic vibe.
Event 1013 is such a beautiful and unique venue, and we’re glad we chose it for our wedding. The space was perfect for the vibe we were going for. What really made the biggest difference for us on the day of was Whitney! She was truly a gem. So kind, attentive, and helpful. Her presence made a huge impact and helped us feel taken care of on such an important day. Also, the candle wall was stunning!! A must have add on! Thank you!!! That said, our overall experience leading up to the wedding had some bumps in my opinion which I wasn’t expecting due to all of the positive feedback/5 star reviews. After booking the venue, we felt the communication and customer service declined. Considering how much we paid, it was a little disappointing that we didn’t really feel cared for at times throughout the process. Communication with the manager wasn’t as responsive or organized as we had hoped, which made things feel a little chaotic at times. One of the workers who helped us during setup the day before was also somewhat rude at times, which was disappointing and stressful right before our big day. Thankfully we had lots of family with us to help set everything up, I didn’t necessarily expect to do it mostly ourselves since we paid extra for that but I’m glad we did it anyways, that way we knew it was all perfect for the ceremony/reception. Additionally, on the day of the wedding, some of our vendors and our elderly family members arrived a little bit early to assist and were not allowed inside, leaving them waiting in the beaming July heat. No one wants to come to a wedding sweaty and given the downtown Plano parking situation, surely they would understand. They can’t really go back to their cars to wait/go to another establishment for just a few minutes. We understand we paid for the venue for a certain timeframe, but I think a few minutes before wouldn’t have hurt anything. It would have meant so much if they had simply been let into the air conditioning, especially considering the circumstances. In the end, we’re still so grateful for the memories made there! We love downtown Plano and had a ball at the end of the day. Thank you!
We had such a beautiful wedding and ceremony at Event 1013. Our project lead, Joy was extremely helpful throughout the planning and lead to a fabulous execution day of. Special thanks to the internal decorator and extremely talented Whitney. Her creativity and expertise brought the pieces to life. Highly recommend this team and venue for your special events.
5 Stars - Absolutely Incredible Experience! We hosted our Christmas party at event1013, and it was absolutely fantastic! From start to finish, the team was incredibly professional and detail-oriented. Joy went above and beyond to make everything seamless, ensuring that every detail was perfectly in place for our event. The space itself was stunning and set the perfect atmosphere for our celebration. Planning was a breeze thanks to Joy's exceptional coordination and expertise. We couldn’t have asked for a better experience and are already looking forward to hosting our next event at event1013. Highly recommend this venue for any occasion—it’s top-notch in every way!
We love the venue!! Everything was perfect for our wedding reception and ceremony!! Joy was very nice and helpful, she guide me in every step about our event. And our venue supervisor Sima was so lovely and helpful! I just have good things to say about the place! I love it !! Thank you so much to everyone! 🥰
