I have used Expert Alterations for years and have had a great experience. Nikki has always been very pleasant to work with and she recently expedited an item for me for an event. It will cost additional for the expedite but also worth it! They are very busy so if you don’t have an immediate need, she is very reasonable. If you expect a quick turn-around, you need to pay for the top notch service and for an expedited alteration! Highly recommend!

I have been on the lookout for a great seamstress for years now until I found Expert Alterations. Their work is on point, no hidden fees, and great quality always. I have brought numerous things to be altered. I am always pleased.

“Had a great experience at Expert Alterations… I was in a jam to get my custom suit altered for a very special event, with a VIP. I was recommended to Nikki from a well known local businessman, who wears custome suits everyday. He told me up front they are the best but they are backlogged for at least 4 weeks. I know from experience that good carpenters, doctors, etc. are always booked out weeks or months. I called Nikki and she apologized for not being able to do it quickly unless, I paid a rush fee. She explained she was short on help because she had to let someone go and she’s training new people. I told her I don’t care what the rush charge is I need it in 3 days. She stayed late and had it for me the nxt day! Thank you Nikki, next time I will bring my clothes in and give you plenty of time to get them done. I recommend Expert Alterations to anyone who wants their clothes done right. You pay for what you get. I also need some coffee cups and mugs from your commercial printing department as well!.” -Coach rOwDy🇺🇸🙏

A surprising and upsetting end after a great first impression with this place. When I dropped off my dress I was quoted about a two week turnaround. That's how I set my expectations since I didn't need it for several weeks. Over a month goes by and I called to check on it. I was told that it had "been in a huge stack that they hadn't gotten to yet" because they'd gotten busy with the expedited orders. I was coincidentally told it would be ready later that day. I expressed that I was disappointed that what was communicated was 2 weeks and then it ended up being closer to 5 weeks. The owner responded in what felt like an extremely defensive manner and sharp tone. She said that things were put in the queue and they stay there for as long as it takes if they are not expedited. I just wish I'd known from the start that it could very likely be longer so I could communicate a date, expedite, or go elsewhere. I told her that I simply hadn't understood that when I dropped off the dress and wished it had been communicated. She then cut me off in a way that felt snappish and said "we're a small business do you know how long it would take to call everyone and let them know it would be later than expected?!" which was not what I was trying to ask for. I would have been satisfied with a simple apology but was met with what felt like immediate defensiveness. My voice and hands got shaky and I teared up during the call. I'll be the first to admit that by the end of the conversation I was reciprocally frustrated, for which I apologize. I understand. It's a small business, which is why I wanted to come here in the first place. But it seems like their overwhelm with the work load is negatively impacting their fuse with customers in a way that I feel crosses the line. They do nice work but it's a long turn around, unclear communication, an unkind owner, and it's cash/check only. Thank you for your time and talents.
