I started training at Flaherty’s Kenpo Karate Association when I was just 9 years old, and I had no idea how much it would shape the person I’d become. What began as a childhood hobby quickly turned into one of the most formative experiences of my life. Over the years, I worked my way through every belt, trained countless hours, and eventually earned my black belt; a milestone I’ll always be proud of. Some of my best memories are from competing in championships and proudly bringing home first-place trophies. But more than the wins, it was the lessons that stuck with me: discipline, resilience, respect, and the drive to always give 100%, no matter the challenge. Grandmaster Flaherty had a huge impact on my life. His teachings went far beyond martial arts. He instilled a mindset of dedication, humility, and perseverance that I carry with me to this day. Whether it’s in my personal life or career, the values I learned at Flaherty’s continue to guide me. Flaherty’s Kenpo Karate wasn’t just a dojo; it was a community that felt like family. I’m forever grateful for the years I spent training there, the lifelong lessons I learned, and the incredible people who helped me grow along the way. Always love!
My son loves Flaherty’s Kenpo karate and I truly recommend it. The masters are just amazing, patient, loving and caring. The skills they teach are just incredible in which kids get to learn discipline, respect and much more. This place is safe with lots of parking spaces and the rates are very affordable❤️❤️❤️
My daughter has grown so much since starting karate with Flaherty’s Kenpo Karate Not only has she learned discipline and confidence, but she also looks forward to every class. Grandmaster Flaherty have a great way of connecting with the kids and teaching respect, focus, and self-defense in a fun and encouraging environment. Flaherty's is a wonderful place to learn karate. The instructors are very knowledgeable, patient and kind. My daughter was very nervous about attending the first class, but the teachers made her feel very welcome. They are great motivators, as well... always encouraging and very attentive to the students. The rates are reasonable and there is a nice place for parents to sit and watch the lessons. Plenty of parking, too!
Flaherty’s Kenpo karate has been a Great experience for our child. The instructors are exceptional, providing guidance and support that helps children grow, develop discipline and confidence. We've seen improvements in our child's academic performance and a healthier lifestyle, with reduced screen time and stress. This is the Best place for children to learn Martial arts!!
