Great experience, friendly staff. I walked in on my birthday and was greeted and helped. I picked the strawberry shortcake and it was delicious!
Save your money. My last order with this place was this last weekend: and i probably won’t go back, the first time i ordered it was for my kids graduation in May: I had a dozen strawberry cupcakes which were phenomenal. Went back this last weekend and bought the assorted flavors. And it tasted like it came from a cheap grocery store shelf. The icings tasted stale and thick like you know cheap cupcakes. I took a bite of each flavor and each one was sub par. For 46.00 i expected more. I would never go back at this point… I can’t believe I wasted 46 bucks on a dozen cupcakes
Ordered a Vegas theme cake for a friend's birthday. As usual Freeds cake is the best in LV. The staff at this location is fun and attentive. They called me 2x to make sure I'm getting there on time to pick up the cake.
I ordered a Lemon Cake w/ Bavarian Cream & Strawberry Puree. Overall the cake was ok… Cake was moist, the Bavarian cream was light & not overly sweet. The disappointing part was the strawberry puree or the lack of. It honestly would have been a great cake if more purée was actually in it. I could not taste any strawberry flavor, which made the cake pretty bland.. Did they run out and not want to make more?.. maybe..did they stretch the thinest possible layer over the cake, YES… for a $60 cake I was really disappointed.. I usually love a good lemon cake but sadly this was not one of them. Staff was very friendly and helpful.
Freed's has made many cakes for me over the years. Whether I'm custom ordering desserts or just stopping in to grab something ready-made from the cooler, these guys never disappoint. Cakes are always moist and flavorful with precise decorations. The custom Godzilla cake they did for my son's bday was phenomenal! I also love all their cookies and buy a box for my staff and for gifts during the holidays (they are always gobbled up!). Their rugelach cookies are particularly addicting.
