Laptop needed a quick repair. After being referred to GigaParts by a competitor, I was able to get my computer fixed within 30 minutes for a fraction of the cost quoted by the big blue box store. GigaParts was neat, with plenty to look at while I waited. Most importantly, their employees did a great job. Jaycee was the first to greet and assist me. Tyler at the customer service desk was helpful and the man who did the actual repair was professional and thorough.

They didn't have any thermal paste they would sell me for less than $50. This is an $8 item. They build PCs here, they have so many parts and items on the shelf, for such a basic item as thermal paste, they could not offer me anything under $50, even after "checking in the back." I went across the street to Best Buy and bought this basic for $8.99, with plenty left over for my next CPU mounting. If you cant even offer any single unit of thermal paste under $50, in a less than mass application amount, what are you doing? Not the best stock for smaller convenience items here.

I used to be a regular gigaparts. I think over the last year this store is really starting to go downhill. The staff doesn't seem to really know anything about the products. They're typically quite rude. I don't think I've left the store once in the last 6 months and been satisfied with my purchase or what I've seen there. They just don't have much selection and what they do have. The prices are so much higher than anything you could find online. It really only makes sense in a pinch. To be honest, I try to avoid coming here unless I absolutely have to. Sad because I used to love this store and looked forward to coming here. I think I just gave them two stars because public facilities for events is rather good. Edit: Also want to mention that they have a decent selection of standard printer filiment.

I purchased a $250 unit from GigaParts (Order 25087078, purchased a 10/21/25). The item arrived defective and unusable. Customer service offered a replacement but insisted I pay $120 for partial return shipping — nearly half the item’s cost. They said they’ll cover outbound shipping and will ship a replacement once they receive the return, but refused to prepay return shipping for a defective product. This is poor customer service and feels unreasonable. I’m sharing this experience so others know to confirm return policies before buying. I will update this review if the issue is resolved fairly. 12/9 Update My experience with GigaParts was disappointing. The $250 unit I received was defective, and I was initially expected to pay $120 in return shipping for an item that arrived broken. Only after escalating the issue did the company ultimately provide a replacement free of charge. I received the replacement 11/22, more than a month later after original purchase on 10/21. While I’m grateful the issue was finally resolved, the resolution required far more effort than should be necessary for a defective product. Future customers should be aware of the return-shipping policy when dealing with defective items.

Neat hobby/computer store. The selection isn't the best but they do show off lots of items so you can see first hand what you're buying rather than in a box. They definitely have lots of empty floor space that could have more product. Their business plan is to have low shelves so you can continuously see the whole building from anywhere. Kind of weird when you could have so much more there with taller shelves.
