i’ve been coming to this gym regularly for over a year. it’s clean, open 24/7, and costs $20 monthly for the facilities. i’ve never had trouble finding parking, and as a small woman i feel very safe and comfortable and supported by the management and staff. every single time i come to the gym i see ages from like 15-85 working out, including many different abilities, sizes and gender presentations for those who may feel insecure or not represented at certain gyms. parents often bring their children, even babies sometimes in strollers or carriers! older kids have a safe spot to hang on an ipad or read a book if needed. i love this gym and i would recommend it to any person.
Best gym I’ve been to ever. Great vibe/culture, huge place, stellar equipment, classes, cheapest membership in the city. And unlike certain other gyms, they are actually open 24 hours!
This gym is NOT open 24 hours a day! I tried to stop by around 3AM on September 30th, 2025. Called three times and someone answered the phone every time but immediately hung up after muttering a couple words. Then I physically showed up and rang the doorbell. A man who seemed to be sleeping behind the counter buzzed me in and said come back at 7am. If I wanted to use a gym with normal staffed hours I wouldn't have come to your gym! I called once more about an hour later to ask about pricing, and the phone line was disconnected. Unbelievable. Hollywood Fitness, I think you're paying your front desk man to sleep. Are you hiring??
I love this place. I am an elder and not interested in the chrome and glass temples of youth and dating. This place is quite chill, clean and well maintained. There is always a helpful attendant, and I like that there are rules like wiping down after you finish a machine and “no camping.” I’m able to work out at my pace with good advice on how to accommodate and work on my torn rotator cuffs and torn wrist ligaments. I’m starting to lose my blob of a gut and feel good!
A True PNW Gym Icon I had heard about Hollywood Fitness through mutuals and seen plenty of posts, so I already knew its reputation preceded it. I was stoked to finally check it out while passing through Portland and it did not disappoint. For just a $15 day pass, you get access to a gym that’s more than just a place to lift. Hollywood Fitness is a Pacific Northwest institution, with a legacy of building champions while also welcoming fitness enthusiasts of every level from seasoned gym rats and muscle mommies to beginners finding their groove. There’s no “gymtimidation” here. The vibe is supportive, positive, and community-driven. Shoutout to Micah and Sweens, whose friendly energy perfectly reflects the owner’s commitment to creating a space where everyone feels at home even visitors from abroad like me. Thank you, Hollywood Fitness. You’ve earned your rep... and then some.
