Service was lovely and I really enjoyed the farm to table aspect. Nice cozy outdoor dining with outside heaters.excellent happy hour vines. I got the whole hog and the tiramisu and spent 33 before tip. Was pretty disappointed with how soft my pizza was, but maybe I needed to specify that I like it crispy so I'll try that next time. Sauce has a very mild flavor, but meat was well cooked and full of flavor. I was disappointed with the tiramisu as it was very dry, but if you like the cream part of tiramisu and not the espresso then you will love it. the portions are large.
This Humble Pie experience was great! I'm sure the "Humble" in the name refers to their prices, because the food was fancy. I grabbed a happy hour pizza with basil on top. The basil was grown right there at the restaurant on the rooftop. The garden-style seating was great for a summer day. I also put my book down to pick up a local newspaper they had a stack of on a countertop. They were discussing important issues. The food was high-quality I would definitely grab another pie in the future!
Humble pie grows a lot of their own ingredients and even has chickens next to the restaurant. The seating is outdoor garden-style which is great for relaxing in the summer. We tried the Angry Lamb (pictured) and Roasted garlic chicken pies. The crust tastes stone fired, yet it’s still soft and not too crispy. The lamb retained its flavor despite being ground, and the garlic on the chicken pizza was suitably strong. The personal pies are quite large, I challenge you to finish yours in one sitting.
Tried out Humble Pie on a beautiful Saturday in January. We placed an order for pickup and it was ready in about 15-20 minutes. We grabbed 2 personal sized pizzas, meatballs, and a coke. Overall, the quality and flavors of the dishes were solid and I enjoyed the variety available on the menu. Our pizzas were a tad greasy, and I wish the online ordering process was more streamlined (ended up just calling in to order.) Would come back again to try the different pizza options we saw.
This location is on the corner of Sweller (South Weller for the non-locals) and Rainier Ave. There is a divider on Rainier, so keep that in mind depending on if you are traveling North or South. This location has restaurant prices with fast-food service. It is street parking only but there is plenty of parking along Sweller. This is outdoor seating, with a wheelchair accessible ramp, though it's pretty tight quarters in the seating area if you are in a wheelchair or a walker. Family-friendly with a good mix of families and adults in the area. Great for a casual dining experience, and it felt safe. It is self-service but we tipped per the Seattle usual. This location is just as cool as the design on the pizza box and the name. The food was very fresh and the pizza came out thin crust with the an even grill on a 14" platform and very clean without the dripping oil. Happy Hour is 4-6p where the margarita pizza is $14 (*regularly $20) and most pizzas will set you back about $30 after tax & tip. I did not order the pizza with the "eggs" but I would have if I had seen the chicken coop on site! The graphic on the pizza box and sign made more sense after seeing the chickens. Midas 5-stars for the freshness and Mexican Cokes! I will try the local Tiramisu next time! I did not rate the service as it is self-serve and for the price it'd be nice to have that added it.
