My reactive French Bulldog, Dixie, and I are currently in training with the Dog Whisperer (aka Rick Markum), and we’ve had a great experience. I’m amazed by Rick’s knowledge and insight into what Dixie is thinking and why she behaves the way she does. He not only understands her mindset, but also knows how to correct the unwanted behaviors in a patient, positive and effective way. At the same time, he gives me the guidance I need to handle situations myself—and when it’s my behavior that needs adjusting, he helps me see it without ever making me feel called out. He warned me in the beginning, progress may be slow (marathon not a sprint), but we are definitely seeing positive progress. Dixie is calmer, more responsive, and I can see her confidence growing. Rick is equipping me with the techniques I will need to continue Dixie’s progress after our training with him is complete. I’m so grateful to have found Impactful Canine Training and Solutions.
