Our dinner at Irene’s was absolutely incredible and easily one of our favorite experiences in New Orleans. The food was so great, and the lasagna was especially awesome—it’s a must-order! What truly set the evening apart, however, was the service; our waiter, Knowles, was the absolute best and made us feel like VIPs throughout the entire night. The cozy, intimate atmosphere of the restaurant was the perfect backdrop for such a delicious meal. Between the top-tier food and Knowles’ exceptional hospitality, it was a perfect 5-star evening!

Irene’s is my favorite place for so many reasons so let’s break it down: 1. Food. It’s inexplicably good! Italian food at its best. Seafood perfection and the lamb chops are truly spectacular. Highly recommend the Meunière Amandine, Lamb A’la Provence, Duck St. Philip, the Italian Wedding Soup, and whatever is the Chef’s Special. Trust the waiters and they will not steer you wrong. 2. Service. Andrew was our waiter on this evening, but every time we have gone over the past few years, our servers are top tier. 3. Atmosphere. I love fine dining, but nothing too stuffy. This place blends warmth and elegance perfectly. The bar is gorgeous. You can eat outside when weather permits and every room has its unique character. On this evening we enjoyed the “St. Joseph” room. Next time in NOLA make a point to visit this incredible spot.

This is another go to restaurant while visiting NOLA. We were a party of four and had several appetizers and main courses so we had a lot to evaluate. Nothing disappointed. Amazing food, good presentations, remarkable service and terrific ambiance. If the weather permits they have a wonderful walled patio at the rear that a perfect place for dining. Several different dining rooms each with a different character. Long bar that can accommodate late eaters and those that have no reservations. Reservations are really a must and there is only one street parking so better to walk or Urber. Overall, this was one of 5he best dining experiences in the city. We give it five google stars and the rare five clams on the coveted Five Quahog Rating Scale.

This was such a phenomenal dinner! The vibe of the restaurant was top tier with the live music, decor and moody lighting. The host was great and our waiter, Sean was amazing. He went above and beyond, and was truly a highlight of our experience. We had the marinara mussels and meatballs as well as the lasagna and duck. The food was to die for! Will definitely return!

First evening visiting New Orleans and was very pleased with how quickly we were seated with our awaiting reservation. Atmosphere was phenomenal! From the jazz to the chatter. Service was also busy but they took great care of my friend and myself. Food took some time, but worth the wait! Just wished they had some soft bread to keep us over while waiting. Otherwise the gratin and pasta were very well sauced! Delicious and creamy. Escargot was delightful and mixed well with the mushrooms and cream sauce!
