Best MMA school hands down in the Cincinnati area. Professor Jorge is an excellent mentor and someone my daughter looks up to. My husband has had so much growth at this school. Training at Jorge Gurgel Martial Arts Center has honestly been one of the best decisions I’ve ever made. When I first walked in, I was nervous but the warmth, respect, and sense of belonging here blew me away. Everyone, from Professor Jorge to the coaches and teammates, treats you like family from day one. I’ve grown so much, not just in skill, but in confidence, focus, and self-belief in the few months I have been training here. The instructors push you to be your best while keeping the environment supportive, safe, and full of laughter. There’s something really special about this team you can feel the passion, discipline, and heart behind everything they do. Every class reminds me that I’m stronger than I think. This has been by far the best experience I’ve ever encountered at a martial arts gym! The women’s only BJJ has been life changing for me. The personal growth and confidence you build is invaluable. My daughter is in the kids BJJ where her discipline and confidence has soared! All the coaches are very knowledgeable with a wealth of experience. My husband and I already feel like family to this gym with its incredible welcoming atmosphere! 5 STARS!!!
If you are looking for a coach that will challenge you to be the best version of yourself, look no further. Professor Jorge is a UFC pioneer and an amazing coach able to see what is holding you back in your martial arts journey. He and the staff will encourage you to get better with EVERY repetition and practice. Plus the community is awesome. I've meet so many amazing people who practice this amazing art. Reputation follows you everywhere you go. JGMMA has that.
