An Unforgettable Evening Thanks to Mario My husband and I are always on the lookout for the perfect date night spot, and KUU absolutely delivered. While we’re passionate about great food, we’ve learned that exceptional service can elevate an entire dining experience—and that’s exactly what Mario provided. From the moment we were seated, Mario’s attentiveness and genuine warmth set the tone for the evening. What truly impressed us was his extensive knowledge of the menu. He didn’t just recite descriptions; he offered thoughtful recommendations based on our preferences and answered every question with expertise and enthusiasm. You could tell he takes real pride in what he does. Mario struck that perfect balance of being attentive without hovering, checking in at just the right moments throughout our meal. His professionalism and personable nature made us feel like valued guests rather than just another table. It’s rare to find someone who so clearly loves what they do, and it showed in every interaction. The food at KUU was excellent, but Mario’s service truly made our date night special. Nice place, but the service was meh. I just couldn’t believe the poor quality of the food. I really hope I don’t get food poisoning. I didn’t throw up in the restaurant out of decency in front of my friends, who also didn’t like the food, but no one had the guts to say it. The quality of the fish was very low. The nigiri was warm and dry, with no flavor at all. The maki tasted like supermarket-quality sushi. I don’t understand how this place is so expensive. The “A5 wagyu” was definitely not wagyu—what a scam. It tasted like a choice cut of steak that wasn’t cooked properly, and it looked gray. The eel was overly fatty and tasted greasy and oily—disgusting. Never again.
Here for work and found this place. Food was great!! Fast to come out. Lunch business bento box with the black cod is the best! So much food for $25. I also got the shoshito peppers which were good too. Slow to bring out check but other than that, service was impeccable.
We went here for restaurant weeks and it was so freaking good! You have to try the rice pudding. It's like rice pudding married creme brulee. Easily the best meal I've had in a while and what a great experience.

From the moment you enter, the ambiance captivates you with its elegant decor and dim lighting, creating a romantic atmosphere that’s perfect for any occasion. The food was nothing short of impeccable. Vy, our waitress was very knowledgeable and explain every dishes, she was wonderful ! Each dish was beautifully presented, reflecting the authenticity of Japanese cuisine, with ingredients that seemed to have traveled straight from Japan. The attention to detail in both flavor and presentation was remarkable. I wholeheartedly recommend this restaurant to my friends and will definitely be returning for another memorable dining experience!
