We are so happy that Mika, at La Boheme, was recommended to us. My daughter and I have been looking for a new stylist for a couple of years. When I see people with good haircuts, I ask them who cuts their hair. Usually, I am told they got their hair cut in Richmond or out of state. Finally, an amazing local stylist and colorist! La boheme has a comfy Bohemian vibe. The name is perfect for this salon. The receptionist is warm and friendly. It is upstairs(no elevator)and filled with light. Mika’s hair station is in a small room, so, if you have hearing issues-like I do, this room cancels out the noise in the large, high ceiling space of the main salon. I love open spaces with high ceilings, my ears just don’t. I had no trouble hearing or communicating with Mika in her room. Park on 21st street or on the side road. Not in the shopping center nor in the dry cleaners parking lot. We had no trouble finding parking. There were several on 21st but we parked on the side street since we knew we would be there longer than 2 hours.
Emilie Kennedy has been cutting my hair for years and she's fantastic! She does a great job, is so sweet, and the salon is really nice and in a convenient location!
Amber is a hair magician! Excellent salon overall. Clean, nice decor, and complimentary coffee/tea available. Aveda products are all vegan so this is a great option if you're looking for a vegan-friendly salon.
Highly recommend this salon! Melissa was my stylist and from the very beginning, she was very accommodating and friendly and it was clear her top priority was making sure that I was satisfied with everything about my appointment and how it went. The salon and its design was very comfortable and welcoming. Melissa used a beautiful balayage technique on my hair that ended up in a result that I could not stop admiring. It was exactly what I wanted! She gave me a lot of tips for maintenance that proved to be very helpful. Melissa’s kindness and talent along with the friendliness of all of the other staff and the peaceful environment that I experienced are enough to make me want to return! I appreciate my wonderful experience and can’t wait to get my hair done again!
Me encanta el salón La Boheme después de solo una visita y ahora seré cliente habitual. Hace poco más de un año que tengo un corte pixie y he tenido un corte y recorte malos tras otro. O bien mi cabello era cortado de forma descontrolada o tenía que regresar o ir a otro lugar para que otro estilista arreglara lo que el anterior había dejado por completo desigual, demasiado voluminoso, sin difuminar o simplemente sin peinar de ninguna manera. Mi estilista (y mi nueva salvación) es Courtney. Ella es cálida, amable, profesional, con experiencia y en general una estilista muy agradable y talentosa. Tuvimos la mejor consulta que he tenido y tuve un 100% de confianza en ella porque discutió conmigo de antemano lo que iba a hacer con cada parte de mi corte y por qué. Aprecio eso y el hecho de que eso fuera exactamente lo que hizo con mi cabello. Todo fue agradable, desde el ambiente del salón hasta los resultados finales. Ella me peinó al final y PIDIÓ si podía probar algo un poco diferente en lugar de hacerlo y decírmelo después. Ella me peinó con gel Aveda brillance y me secó el cabello con el secador y terminó con un toque de brillo/aceite. ¡Los resultados fueron hermosos! Mi pixie es elegante, encaja completamente con mi personalidad, es parejo y limpio y se ve increíble. También conocí a la dueña y ella se tomó el tiempo de acercarse, presentarse y pasar unos minutos hablando conmigo. Además, son un salón Aveda (sé que, no te puedes equivocar ahí) y tienen todos los productos para el cabello de Aveda que voy a necesitar. ¡Ve a ver a Courtney, amigos! No te arrepentirás.
