The Pasilla Poblano con Hongos is sooo good! It came on a sizzling platter along with beans and tortillas. We chose the corn tortillas and they were so fresh and tasty. It was filling but not "heavy" and the flavors were perfect. I would order this every time!
Being from California, I didn’t know what to expect from Texas-Mex food and I was pleasantly surprised. While it cannot be compared to the Mexican food from Southern California, it is its own thing and it’s damn good! It was recommended to try the Mambo Taxi and it was fantastic. Of course we had to have the queso which was a hit as well. For my main I had the “Deluxe 57” and wow! Such different and great flavors. This is something I’m going to crave once I head home. The atmosphere was really nice and the service was great. Next time I’m here, I will for sure be back.
Our waitress, Rosa, was one of the rudest people I’ve ever dealt with, and her service reflected that. However, after speaking with the manager Alma, she did a great job correcting the situation. The food was amazing as always. I just wish we hadn’t been treated so poorly at the start of our visit.
This place is very nice and cozy. Food was delicious . Enchiladas and taco plate. Switched the refried beans for borracho beans. Delicious. The chicken enchilada was the best
The family went on vacation to Texas three weeks ago and made a new friend who invited us to eat at Mi Cocina. This place is truly a gem! The food was absolutely amazing… and don’t even get me started on the dessert, it was just as incredible. From the moment we walked in, the staff was welcoming and attentive. Mi Cocina is definitely on my must visit list for the next time. Also, a special shoutout to the manager… she’s truly amazing and a gem herself!
