originally had my upstairs windows done by this company in 2023. The quality of the work itself was acceptable; however, the installers were subcontractors, and during installation they dropped spray foam on my carpet. When I brought this to the company’s attention, the response was dismissive—essentially a shrug and a brushed-off apology. Fast forward to 2025, I wanted matching windows installed in my basement to align with the upstairs ones. Against my better judgment, I decided to give them another chance. After the installation, I noticed one of the windows was cracked and needed to be replaced. They ordered a replacement and scheduled an installation date, but due to various issues with employees and weather, the appointment was rescheduled three times. When we were finally rescheduled again, I rearranged my own schedule and received a confirmation email stating they would be arriving—yet no one showed up. I reached out afterward, and the owner contacted me to apologize. We were then placed back on the schedule. The replacement window was eventually installed, but there was no caulking applied. Additionally, the other newly installed windows had visible gaps where caulking should have been. When I raised this concern with the owner, he initially tried to explain how I could caulk the windows myself. He then said he would send someone out immediately, or come personally if needed. Despite that assurance, the issue wasn’t resolved for nearly three more weeks. There was no follow-up to ensure the job was completed properly, nor did the owner come by to review the final work after all the delays and issues. Given the number of problems along the way, I expected some effort from the company to ensure customer satisfaction. Unfortunately, there was none. I have already paid in full for the work, and I am not writing this to seek a discount. I am writing this to warn potential customers about the experience and quality of service they may receive. I was genuinely excited to support a local business rather than a large corporation, but after this experience, I will be looking elsewhere to complete the final two windows in my home.
Everything was done very professionally, from the estimator to the roofers. They cleaned up all around the property and came out later to look over the job again. The new roof looks amazing.
Mighty Dog Roofing was a great company to work for! They were quick to come out and explained everything they needed to do. The work itself was completed in a timely manner and everything looked amazing!
I am very happy with the service that Mighty Dog provided for me, and at a very fair price. My roof lost three or four shingles in a windstorm, so this was going to be a small repair job. The estimate that I got from Mighty Dog was for $600 and they did the work within one day. Three guys showed up on time and knocked the repair out in less than 30 minutes. They also told me that the roof, which is at least 25 years old, has another five good years before I need to think about replacing it. All in all, Mighty Dog was honest, fast, timely. I cannot recommend them highly enough. A little additional background. I got three estimates for the work. One company (Panda Roofing) tried to talk me into filing an insurance claim to get the entire roof replaced. They said that they are "very successful" at convincing insurance adjusters to agree to replace roofs even when there is very limited damage. This is the kind of scam that drives up everyone's insurance rates, I won't play along. I finally got them (Panda) to give me a quote for just the small repair work - $1800. I got similar pricing from another company. Both companies said it would take at least a week to work into their schedule.
I am beyond pleased with Mighty Dog Roofing and specifically with Robbie and his supplements team. Mighty Dog and Robbie came on the scene after I had already given up fighting on a claim with State Farm. I figured I was on the hook for the total bill and by chance was hooked up with Robbie. I originally was only interested repairing a portion of my roof. Robbie stepped up and said he would reopen my claim with SF since it was within a year of the original date of loss. I was skeptical because I had surfed the web and read the horror stories about SF after my issue with them. I figured I had nothing to lose and he seemed confident. Ultimately, Robbie and his team were successful. I have no doubt that had I originally used Mighty Dog Roofing and Robbie my ordeal would have taken maybe a couple of month vs taking just over a year. Mighty Dog Roofing and Robbie have proved to be a standup up company. The communication was always there. The appointments were always on time. They did what they said they were going to do when they said they were going to do it. It doesn’t get much better than that these days. On Robbie’s recommendation we selected the Midnight Plum shingle and opted for new black gutters. Robbie was correct in his recommendation and our home looks great with the Midnight Plum shingle and black gutters. I tend to have, let’s say a more involved, retired neighbor demographic. They have critiqued every upgrade to the home with the exception of the shingle and gutter combo. They even went as far as to compliment the new look! That’s a win! The install team was great too! They made a bit of a mess when installing my new roof as to be expected. What I wasn’t expecting was how thorough they were in their clean up process. They said they would leave it better than they found it and they weren’t kidding. My wife was very pleased and impressed by their efforts. Overall I can’t recommend Mighty Dog Roofing and Robbie Baskent enough. Fantastic experience. I would and have been recommended them to everyone I know who needs a good, descent, standup roofing company.
