Mina Ally provided the worst care I have experienced, both in clinical judgment and professionalism. I saw her twice for a long-standing skin issue. At the first visit, she did not examine the problem and instead allowed a trainee to spray liquid nitrogen on my face. The treatment was mishandled, which is why I returned for a follow-up. At the second visit, she would not listen to my concerns and repeatedly questioned why I was there. She told me the follow-up appointment was a staff mistake and said the initial visit was “a favor.” She then documented that I should “pay out of pocket” for treatment and left the room without addressing my concerns or offering a plan. I filed a complaint with my insurance and was reassigned to another dermatologist in a different medical group. The new treatment was successful and fully covered, which made this experience even more frustrating. I expect basic respect, clear communication, and appropriate examination from a physician. I did not receive that here. If you have other options, I recommend choosing a different dermatologist.
Dr. Ally has been truly life-changing in helping me treat my skin conditions and restoring my quality of life. Her compassion, patience, and genuine care set her apart from so many others. She listens, understands, and takes the time to guide you through every step of your treatment with confidence and kindness. Because of her expertise and dedication, I’ve made tremendous progress—far more than I ever expected. Dr. Ally reviewed my health, talked with me about what she was going to look at and treat that morning. She explained each step of the way to me as to what she was doing and why. She gave me clear instructions for my aftercare treatment, and had her staff set up an appointment for later review. She is very through in her approach to her practice,
Dr Ally is wonderful! I’ve been to many dermatologists over the years for skin cancer exams and she is hands down the nicest, kindest, and most thorough I’ve ever been to. She explains everything, takes photos and documents anything she finds of concern and makes sure I understand her aftercare instructions. I drive from Santa Cruz for her expertise!
I've seen Dr Ally for several different urgent and non-urgent skin related reasons for several years now. I've come to trust her judgment and professional opinion - which I think is the highest praise for any doctor. She gives me the attention I need, listens to my concerns and engages in a productive back and forth. I'm not a terrible fan of the PA but Dr Ally more than makes up for it.
