I decided to try a new barbershop as the previous one I was going to for years didn't seem to provide the same level of consistency and care as before. Very glad I found New Shanghai Barbershop! Juliet has been wonderful since the first meeting. She is friendly, attentive and understood my hair. She already remembered my preference after the first haircut and gave good advice about my hair. I would not hesitate to recommend Juliet and definitely plan on coming here for the foreseeable future.
I’ve been coming to New Shanghai Barbershop in Chinatown for over 3 years now and I honestly wouldn’t go anywhere else. Tony La is an absolute magician with the scissors. His scissor cuts are always on point, clean, and exactly what I’m looking for. Tony takes the time to really understand your style and consistently delivers. I always leave the shop with a smile on my face, feeling confident with the cut. Highly recommend him if you’re looking for a top-tier barber in Vancouver
I’ve been coming here for over a year now, and Tony always gives clean, consistent cuts. Before this, I had a hard time finding a barber who could properly cut and style my stubborn Asian hair, but Tony understands it well. I usually get a low taper with a side part, and I notice a clear difference compared to cuts I’ve had from other barbers. The shop is clean and welcoming. A reliable spot I keep coming back to.
New Shanghai Barbershop is absolutely incredible and easily one of the best barbershops in Vancouver! The team and atmosphere are always welcoming and make me feel comfortable from the moment I walk in. Each and every haircut with Tony has been a great experience. He is a super skilled and professional barber, consistently detail-oriented and precise during every cut. Tony’s experience really shines during the consultation, and I appreciate the time he takes to explain things like my hair type and how to properly style my hair at home. Would definitely recommend Tony and the team!
This is the best barbershop in Vancouver, hands down. I’ve been going to see Tony for a while now and he’s consistently excellent. I’ve also had cuts with David on occasion, and he’s great as well. Whether it’s a skin taper with textured crop or previously a textured quiff, the cuts are always clean and sharp with great attention to detail. I’m never afraid to try new hairstyles because I know Tony and the team will always make it look good. The shop is clean, professional, and easy to book. If you’re looking for a reliable barbershop that really knows men’s cuts, this is the place to go.
