Lovely little photography gallery and bookshop. Really enjoyed the thought provoking and sensitive Firebirds exhibition, on until mid November.
I expected more from this gallery especially from the photos that are already posted. There were total of three rooms and one of them had just documentary playing. Interesting photos but was planning on spending more time here.
A photographic exhibition space. It is quite small but on 2 floors. In all honesty I was slightly underwhelmed by the current exhibition. The exhibitions are free, a donation is requested.
It’s a fatherly small photography gallery. First floor mainly has portraits. Second floor mainly displays buildings. The photos they have are quite standard, interesting enough for general audience, but not that niche compare to some other contemporary photography galleries. Absolutely love the bookshop. It has a lot of amazing photography books, pamphlets and cool stationeries. One thing I enjoy the most is the art corner, where you can cut off pieces from different magazines and make your own collage art postcards, then leave it on the shelf. Very great idea for people to engage in art and photography closely.
I went to see the Liverpool Biennial 2023, and the space was bigger than I expected. There are more gallery-presented artworks upstairs, and people are super friendly there, they recommend how to visit other Biennial places.
