I would highly recommend OSDS, especially if you want to take the study portion of the BDE online. My driving instructor, Nizam, helped me a lot to become a better driver, thoroughly explaining driving concepts, and always making sure that I understood what he was teaching me. Even if I didn't get certain concepts the first time, he was always very patient and understanding of me as a new driver.

I had a great experience with Ottawa Smart Driving School. My instructor Mr. Nizam is originally from Bangladesh and is extremely skilled and professional. What I appreciated the most is his calm attitude — he never gets angry over mistakes and always explains things patiently. He is very passionate about teaching and genuinely supportive. He teaches using real-life driving examples and goes into detail so you truly understand the rules, techniques, and decision-making behind safe driving, not just how to pass the test. I recently took my G test and passed on the first try. Although I consider myself a skilled driver, I truly believe I wouldn’t have passed without my lessons with Nizam. His detailed tips on following the exact rules and requirements were super helpful and made all the difference. The best thing is that he doesn’t just tell you what you should do, but he always explains “why” each step matters. Understanding the reasoning behind every step made it so much easier to remember and apply during the test and in real driving situations. He was calm, patient, and very accommodating for my schedule. He was also fair and never pressured me to take more lessons than I needed, which I really appreciated. Nizam genuinely cares not only about helping you pass your test, but also about making you a safer and more confident driver for the future. I passed my G test on my first attempt after taking lessons with Nizam. He is an amazing instructor — patient, calm, and very supportive. Even when I kept repeating the same mistakes, he never lost his calm. He truly knows how to provide constructive criticism without ever making the student feel discouraged. His advice was clear and tailored to my needs. He also went out of his way to accommodate my limited availability and find practice time for me, which I truly appreciate! You can tell that he genuinely cares about his students. His goal isn’t just to help us pass the G2 or G test, but to make us good and safe drivers.
