Dr. Griffith put his nasty disgusting fingers inside our 2 day old daughter’s mouth without a glove and worst of all without acknowledging mom or dad. When confronted, he claimed to have washed his hands prior to entering the room but that could not confirmed nor was he observed washing his hands in our room. Just for context, EVERY nurse and dr at woman and infant hospital handled our daughter with the utmost care and respect, using gloves for every examination. One would think with all the germs and flu season going on that Dr Griffith would be more mindful and respectful to us as well as our daughter’s health be that was not that case. After speaking with him we demanded an apology for his audacious and inappropriate behavior. His apology was accepted but his actions were still careless, reckless and unprofessional. We will be search in other places for our daughter in the meantime.
The administrative staff are consistently unprofessional and unapproachable. This practice tends to dismiss patient concerns and shows little effort in fostering a kind or understanding environment.
My son's pediatrician is Dr. Fox and all of our appointments have been pretty helpful and we appreciate his calm demeanor and his philosophy on child development and care. We recently had the unfortunate opportunity to be seen by a different doctor at the practice for a recheck after we visited Hasboro over the weekend with a sick 9 month old infant. The appointment started off fine, we were going over symptoms and as soon as I mentioned we had gone to the hospital, they launched into a monologue about how we're supposed to avoid the ER at all costs and that it was an unnecessary visit and that we should have called. We did call them TWICE and both times the nurse on call was not exactly helpful. They then said there are doctors on call in the mornings on Saturdays and Sundays (this was not shared with us when we joined the practice and I later found it on the website, would have been helpful to have that information from the start). Every single thing I said after that was dismissed and not validated. My husband even said that our son's behavior was definitely not typical and then on her way out the door they said "I'm glad to see he's doing better", but the thing is, we told you he wasn't doing better. Listen, we're new parents, we're going to be nervous and overreact, the way to help us feel confident in our decisions is to not be condescending and to simply let us know there are other options before going to the ER. If it wasn't for Dr. Fox, I would not be returning to this practice after this experience.
We love all the clinicians and admin staff at Pediatric Associates! They are fantastic and always available to answer our questions (portal, phone, answering service). Everyone is so kind and caring, but most importantly, they take time with your children and listen to their needs as well as parents' concerns. I always recommend Pediatric Associates to new parents!
Absolutely love pediatric associates. My daughter has Dr. Fox but any other Dr she has seen has also been wonderful. The nurses and staff are very polite and great with kids. Another big thing they have going for them is they don't over book! We have never had to wait long between arrival and when she she's the Dr. I recommend them to all my new mother friends. Definitely a great experience.
