⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ A Truly Special Place for My Sweet Roxie Luv Pet Paradise Richmond Airport has been nothing short of a blessing for me and my beloved 16‑year‑old dog, Roxie Luv. Finding a place you can trust with an elderly pet, especially one who needs a little extra patience, attention, and love is never easy. But every single visit, the team here showed Roxie the same level of care and compassion that I would give her myself. They always greeted her by name, remembered her quirks, and treated her like family. Whether it was making sure she was comfortable, giving her gentle attention, or keeping me updated so I never had to worry, they consistently went above and beyond. At her age, comfort and kindness meant everything, and they provided both with genuine heart. I’m forever grateful for the way they cared for Roxie Luv. It brought me peace knowing she was in such capable, loving hands. Pet Paradise Richmond Airport isn’t just a pet care facility, they’re a team of people who truly love what they do, and it shows in every interaction. TLDR: Very disappointed with our first time at Pet Paradise. Our dog was left in her “cabana” for at least 4 hours in her own urine without a bathroom break & came home damp with a pungent odor. We took our dog here for a two night stay between 12/15 & 12/17. The first day and second days, we were able to observe playtime in “Tiny Town” around 10:00 am. The third day, she was scheduled for 12:00 pm pick up. From about 8:45-12:30 we checked the cameras frequently and each time she was in her cabana. At no point did we observe her being out of the cabana. We arrived for pick up at 12:45 pm due to traffic (which we called in advance about) and when my husband got her, he immediately could smell her odor. When he brought her to the car and placed her in my arms , I immediately smelled it too. I was also able to feel her damp tail, paws, and underside. Between the odor, dampness, and lack of time out..it was clear that she had been lying in her own urine for a while. The smell was so bad that we had to have the car windows down the entire drive home. We immediately rushed her to the bathroom for a bath because we were afraid the order would transfer to our carpet and furniture if we let her out of our arms. We had to shampoo and rinse her twice to get the smell out of her coat. After her bath, I called the location and asked about the bathroom & playtime schedule. I was told that the boarding dogs had ~1 hour of playtime before 8:30 am, which is conveniently before we started checking and different than the two days prior that she was out around 10 am. We were also told that she had 2 bathroom breaks that day but didn’t get her third because of her pick up time. They then offered to give her a free bath which was unnecessary because we already gave her one. Im not sure if this was caused by several hours without a bathroom break this morning or if it was caused at a different point in her stay. Our dog has been going to daycare and boarding since she was under a year old (she’s 5) so we are used to the typical “outdoorsy” smell after boarding. But she l has never been returned to us in this condition. I am praying that this experience has not left her with a UTI and will certainly follow up if it did. Needless to say, she will not be returning.

My first experience at Pet Paradise at Richmond Va, the Airport location was excellent! The service was top-notch , they even called me to discuss changes to the grooming plan and offered options, since my Goldendoodle’s fur was very matted and the haircut I originally wanted wasn’t the best for him. They recommended a style they felt would be better for my pup, and I really appreciated their honesty and care. What I loved the most was that I didn’t have to pick him up right away after the haircut — they kept him with them until I got off work and could come by. Devon was the groomer, and he was amazing! He also recommended the right brush to prevent matting in the future, since my Goldendoodle’s coat is changing as he grows out of the puppy stage and starts developing his adult coat, which will be a bit curlier. Everything about the experience was excellent — I couldn’t be happier!

Both our dogs love this place, they get so excited when we go in and are always so happy when we pick them up! Staff is super nice and great with the dogs. The facility itself is very clean and new with an adorable bone shaped doggy swimming pool and tons of outdoor and indoor play areas. I really appreciate that they have never once lost any of the toys we send the dogs in with, I’ve found that to be an issue with other places we have boarded them. The dogs are always totally exhausted after boarding since they are getting so much attention and stimulation which is a nice bonus after you have returned from a long trip yourself. I also feel like their rates are very reasonable particularly since we know the dogs and not just safe but also being so well taken care of, we use pet paradise every time we travel and they have always been amazing!
