Dr. Vadmal is an excellent dermatologist. He is extremely thorough when doing twice annual skin checks, and he is an exceptionally nice person. He is vigilant about changes, particularly from sun exposure. He cares very much about his patients.
First time patient - I got a referral from my primary care physician. Filled out the new patient forms on an ipad and was told it would be "just a couple of minutes". Almost immediately after this, I witnessed multiple patients come up to the front desk annoyed at the wait times and asking when they were going to be seen. Reading through the reviews, this does seem to be common occurrence at this skin and beauty centre. What's the point of making an appointment for a specific time if they aren't going to see you at that time? 40 minutes later (not "a couple of minutes") after completing the new patient account and I am ushered into a room to begin waiting another 10 - 15 minutes. Dr Vadmal was friendly, but the appointment was VERY rushed, I was in and out in under 5 minutes and my questions were gone through very quickly. If you are looking for a thorough appointment with care and specificity, then this IS NOT the practice for you. It was more of a let's get your money and you out of here as quickly as possible kind of a scenario. Going by the CCDA on my account online (a breakdown of the appointment) there were a number of inconsistencies. Under "Instructions" there were a number of statements from the doctor that state "I counseled" and information about what the doctor is supposed to have counseled me on. Did he counsel me on some of these? Yes. Did he counsel me on others? No, he did not. The thing that annoyed me the most and the reason why I would say DO NOT choose this practice is because I received Actinic Keratoses Counseling Liquid Nitrogen from the doctor and after the doctor left I was told by the tech "that is going to cost extra, ok?" Ummm well it's a bit late to be telling me that, after i've already had the liquid nitrogen sprayed on my forehead at a cost of $62 isn't it? Hidden costs much? I mean why not be upfront? You knew what the cost was going to be, and you knew my insurance wasn't going to cover it...Can't we have a little bit of transparency? If you don't like places springing hidden costs on you when you're heading out the door, then I really recommend you don't use this practice. It's really bad form to just add extra costs without notice. If i did this where I work, I would be fired. I don't have hidden costs at any of the other practices/doctor's offices I've had appointments at, why should this place be any different? All in all really disappointing given the reviews I read prior to my coming here.
I have been a patient in this practice for over 25 years. The people that work here are always polite and eger to assist. The doctors are the best. Dr Vadmal is my Doctor and Dr Sadat has done surgery on me. I truly appreciate the care everyone gives at SBC I trust Dr Vadmal and Dr Sadat 100%
As a pasty, fair-skinned person, a good dermatologist is mission critical. I’ve been seeing Dr. Vainder for a couple years now and have had nothing but a super positive experience. He’s awesome. Very personable, and the visit never feels rushed. Would definitely recommend.
Absolutely amazing experience! This was my first time with a dermatologist at this location. The place a very welcoming and beautifully decorated, there is ample parking behind the building or on the street, the receptionist is welcoming, professional and super sharp- she didn’t make people stay in line, rather had multiple iPads to complete the questionnaire. Dr Shoshana Kosman is amazing- very knowledgeable, throughout and makes you feel comfortable discussing issues, explaining the importance of treatment and etc. I would highly recommend this place and Dr. kosman!
