I couldn’t be happier with the service I received here. My car has honestly never run better. They fixed multiple oil leaks and took care of a check engine light that had been stressing me out for a while. What really impressed me was the full inspection they did, they were thorough, honest, and explained everything clearly. It’s such a relief to finally have a mechanic I can truly rely on. Highly recommend this shop to anyone looking for quality work and peace of mind!
Took in my vehicle because of a long starting problem. They replaced the alternator and the starter which did not fix the problem. The new alternator they put in the voltage regulator on it was already bad. Lights were pulsating. Took it back to Sonny's. They said nothing was wrong with it. The new alternator still didn't fix the long starting problem and now the lights were flickering. Took it to the shop I normally go to that I trust and come to find out the new alternator Sonny's had put in was bad. And the reason for the long starting problem was fuel pump was going bad. That Sonny's failed to diagnose. I had my hesitation on taking my vehicle any where else besides the shop I normally go to. The wife wanted to try Sonny's because it was close to the house and seemed to have decent reviews online. But after my experience with Sonny's I would not recommend and I will never take another vehicle to Sonny's.
Audi Q7 4.2l premium-45 years I've worked on my own cars successfully until I faced Audi security features to repair, I had dealt with a dealership before which went poorly. I read Sonny's reviews and took a chance. I'm glad I did they've truly earned these stars from the price of labor to the cost of genuine Audi parts they were great, no hidden fees and done in a timely manner
Updated: 12.03.2025! I don't believe their reviews the negatives are more than the positives 4.8 / 5 star I don't believe it at all. Dishonest, not friendly and inaccurate prices. I do not trust this location and I don't recommend to do any service at the shop. Unprofessional and unethical behavior from technicians and the owner including the manager. The owner quoted me to fix my transmission, when I compared the other invoice from the dealership 3 weeks prior and almost less than a mile from their shop Sonny's Auto repair were $800 -$1200 higher than the dealership with longer factory warranty provided by the dealership brand. I was charged $125 hourly labor rate, and wasted 7 hours of my day, and they told me that the parts were 1-4 weeks out, means not available at the same day. They are not transmission certified technicians I have faith that they can do the job also I provided the check engine light code to them days prior to my appointment. I am just shocked that their price much higher than the dealership service 😳
I don’t usually write reviews, but I feel compelled to share this experience. We trusted Sonny’s for a vehicle check before a long trip of over 1,250 miles. They diagnosed that we needed a new oil pan gasket and rear oil seal and performed the work, but their repair was dangerously negligent. They broke the new oil pan gasket and tried to patch it with adhesive instead of properly replacing it, and the rear oil seal repair was also faulty. Because of their negligent and sloppy work, we ended up driving over 1,250 miles with a car that could have suffered serious engine damage. We eventually had to pay $3,700 at another shop to fix these exact issues properly. While NAPA/Sonsio is expected to cover the repair under warranty, we are still waiting to be reimbursed. The entire process has been stressful, frustrating, and completely avoidable. I do not recommend Sonny’s for any major repairs. Their work was careless and put our car—and our safety—at risk. Try elsewhere.
