Im sure generally this place is great judging by the reviews. The good reviews are why I picked this place. Both of boys somehow ripped their pants in the back. One rip was really big and I was not sure if it was fixable. I asked if it was. I was told they'll do it. When I picked it up it looked horrible. It definitely was patched up. The one patch on one pair of pants looked ok and it was broken again within the week But the second one was a huge patch right on the bum and my teenager of course didnt want to wear that horrible thing, neither would I have. I didnt argue with the people that work here. I said it doesn't look good and if that if they couldn't fix it they should just have said so and I could have saved 50 dollars. Instead, without my saying so she just said i will not refund you. I said lady i have not paid yet. I paid after that to be polite. 50 dollars for me these days as a single mother are a lot. Again just say you cant do it when you cant and youre good. You would have saved me 50 dollars I couldbe used for something else and you wouldnt have a bad review. Im happy to delete the review for a refund.

I have used Soon's Alterations for more than twenty years, and Soon has always done an amazing job to get my alterations back to me in a timely manner for a reasonable price. Over the years, I have brought everything from a prom dress to drapes to her for alteration, and everything always comes back just as expected. I have never been disappointed. Plus, the midtown location is very convenient. I would highly recommend Soon's if you need any alterations or expert sewing done.

Over many years, soon has repaired many garments for me, trousers that needed to be shorted and taken in at the crouch to fit comfortably, jackets that needed alterations, and a valuable Guatemalan tapestry that needed to be mounted on a hanging device. She is both, wonderfully friendly, attentive, acceptably fast, and extremely reasonable in price. Whoever gave her less than a maximum rating must have had their mother sitting nearby giving them the evil eye. Consummate quality service!

She does excellent work. The tailor is concerned with quality of work & wants to make sure the outcome is perfect! She is honest & upfront about how long it will take her to hem 16 shirts because she wants to make sure they look even better after she’s done with them. One reviewer, said she’s rude, for me, no I don’t see it that way. Maybe because I am Asian too, & just as meticulous as the tailor herself. I don’t care about the personality, but I care about the quality of work, whatever it takes & how long she needs to get there. She’s really good!
