The Playground Pilates Collective ofrece un enfoque moderno y enérgico del Pilates en Ottawa, centrado en clases de reformer y de mat diseñadas para todos los niveles de condición física. Con un ambiente acogedor y atención personalizada por parte de instructores experimentados, este estudio ayuda a los clientes a desarrollar fuerza, flexibilidad y equilibrio. Las clases se mantienen pequeñas con solo seis máquinas reformer para garantizar la seguridad y la alineación adecuada, lo que lo hace ideal tanto para principiantes como para practicantes experimentados que buscan un entrenamiento desafiante pero con un ambiente de apoyo.

The class did not feel beginner-friendly. The instructor seemed to expect prior knowledge and mainly talked through the exercises without demonstrating them. With loud music, it was difficult to follow, and as a first-time participant I felt lost. I also tried calling the studio before the class because I couldn’t make it and never received a call back, yet I was still charged the cancellation fee. I understand there is a cancellation policy, but the lack of communication or follow-up felt unprofessional.
Really nice aesthetic but not true Pilates. I am not sure about the pace of the beginner mat class but I was really disappointed that the instructor didn’t correct people’s posture or provide more modification for different levels/abilities. For the posture side, people could injure themselves and/or not get the full benefit of the workout. I also found the room to be over packed and being at the back of the class made it hard to see the instructor when doing floor work: I would recommend an a slightly elevated platform for the instructor. The uncomfortable aspect of the packed room was having my face too close to the butt of the person in front of me multiple times during the workout.
Although I have been fit and active my entire life, my body is taking pleasure in reminding me I am 68 years old! I can no longer run, do yoga or bicycle because of surgeries and natural ageing so…I decided to give pilates a try. I researched studios within walking distance of my home (there are 4!) and am so happy I chose The Playground. I have attended over 40 classes so far and love the changes I am seeing in my body shape, strength, flexibility and balance!! If you are older, do not be intimidated. The music may be loud, but it is motivating! The instructors not only learn your name but also any accommodations/modifications you may require and with only 6 reformer machines, there is great oversight for alignment and safety!!
I’ve been coming here for two years, and I can confidently say it’s the best Pilates studio in town. The instructors are amazing, the music is always on point, and the pacing is perfect. Every session leaves my legs and body sore in the best way possible! Thank you so much for creating such a motivating and welcoming space! Worth the $$$
Highly recommend to anyone! The class levels are perfect and the instructors are amazing. Would recommend booking classes with Janine or Marissa. Classes are challenging but instructors always suggest modifications and will never call you out if you’re struggling, but will definitely try and push you in a positive way. I will say the pricing is a little high for no change rooms/showers but the classes are so good I’m willing to drop the $$$!
