A lovely shop with friendly staff and very conversational. I appreciated the time that mechanic Clayton took to discuss further vehicle care and maintenance. I've found my local go-to shop for sure!
I’m not sure I would recommend bringing your car to this establishment. I was having a lot of problems with my car, which all I got fixed here. I’ve given them a lot of my hard earned money, and they treated me kindly as long as that was the case. I sent my car there to get a diagnostic test, and decided not to get it fixed again because the car wasn’t worth the cost of the repairs. When I received my car back it was not put back together as it was. There was a huge piece of the undercarriage covering sitting in the back seat, getting grime and grease all over the seats. Also causing the remaining covering under the car to be dragging on the ground. Looked under the hood and there were cables unplugged, and random parts just sitting on top. After being a customer of their’s for at least a year, I expected better treatment of my car. It has made selling it more difficult. Also not sure they do very thorough inspections, because I had the same mechanical issue happen after taking it there to get it fixed initially. They said it was caused by something else the second time, would’t guarantee the parts. Dana at the front desk is lovely, she was always very kind during my visits.
My car completely broke down on the side of the road with a bad alternator & Uptown Imports saved the day. Even though it was well past closing AND the day before a holiday John, the owner, was leaving as my tow truck pulled in and he re-opened his garage for me to bring my car in (as it was not drivable). This customer service only adds to the other great experiences I've had at Uptown in the last couple years. The team there has done magnificent work on my car, the reports they send you home with are invaluable for planning any remaining jobs needing to be done & Dana at the front desk is extremely helpful & able to answer all of your questions. I'm really glad I found Uptown Imports when I moved to Northeast.
I brought my newly purchased (used) truck in for a second opinion after dealership recommended a $2400 repair. Their after hours drop off was very convenient and secured. Dana called me the following afternoon to discuss repairs and did confirm work needed to be done. I appreciated the thorough explanation (dealership did not explain much just said here’s what needs to be replaced with price). I will be a returning customer as their detailed explanation and care was much appreciated to someone that is not very car educated. Excellent customer service and even offer rewards/free towing!
My favorite new shop. A local shop had my car for a month then said they can't work on it. Then the dealership wanted 6k$ to fix the wrong parts. These guys figured it out for a fraction of the cost and got it done in 2 days. Dana and John were super friendly, called me often with updates.
