Vista is an event venue in the Third Ward of downtown Milwaukee. I had the pleasure of attending a beautiful wedding and reception at this historic location. The building has old world elegance with updated modern amenities. It was nice that the hostess at the front door directed us to the proper elevators to get to the right floor for the wedding. The staff was very helpful in helping us navigate to the right room. The room was elegantly decorated. Part of the room was covered and in the front part of the room was open to the sky. We were there on a gorgeous day! Easy to listen to the ceremony. Although there was some residual noise from the alley down below. Great place for pictures following the wedding. The reception followed. It was located on a different floor. We were directed to the correct elevator by cheerful staff. The reception was a sit down dinner. It was catered by a group recommended by Vista. The food was very good. It was family style. A good selection of proteins as well as sides. The bread basket was a standout. There was plenty for everyone to eat. Drinks were available at the self-service bar near the tables. It got cool as the night went on, even though they had space heaters available. Got to love Wisconsin weather in the fall. There was dancing with a DJ who kept everybody energized and participating. It was a great event. This venue is not a place that you should drive to. No parking available. The limited parking is extremely expensive. There is also no parking on the street as it is always crowded. Like most places in the Third Ward It is for a younger crowd.
I loved using Vista for my wedding venue. My husband and I fell in love with the location as soon as we walked in, the downtown scenery is amazing and we got so many complements on how fun it was to dance outside on the balcony! It was also well managed and we felt very well taken care of on the big day. It did take a while to get our "official" day-of-coordinator but she was able to answer all of our questions and ran everything very well. I was also able to order one of my favorite beers through Vista (outside of what camp usually carries) and get to enjoy it for the big day which I really loved and appreciated that they could do for me. Bar service was great and everyone enjoyed the extra beer options that most other venues don't carry. Overall I thought they did an excellent job hosting our wedding and I adored the locations.
We had the best experience having our wedding at VISTA! I’d highly recommend to anyone. They are very transparent and consistent with what they share when you tour, and what they actually deliver the day of! Everyone we interacted with at VISTA was wonderful, but our experience was truly made once we had our day of venue coordinator, Mary Ann. She was SO helpful the weeks leading up to the day, and never made us feel like we had too many questions or details to work out. The day of, she was amazing. We could tell that she truly cared about us as a couple, and having the most amazing day. She absolutely went above and beyond, and eased so many wedding jitters for us, she was also really great to our family, friends, and vendors. I know for a fact not every venue is as wonderful, and we couldn’t recommend VISTA enough!
We had such a great experience having our wedding at Vista! Throughout the planning process, Ray and Annie were so quick to respond and were really flexible in helping provide everything we wanted for our day! The venue is stunning and provides so many different spaces for all of our guests to enjoy!
