Such a cute place! Their menu is fabulous....tons of menu options, including a lot of things that you don't see anywhere else. They offer breakfast, brunch and lunch options including a variety of french toasts, chicken and waffles, omelettes, breakfast bowls, and so much more....including adult beverages. My hubby had a Supreme Omelette filled with sausage, bacon, onions, mushrooms and cheese. It came with an English muffin and breakfast potatoes. I had the Corned Beef and Brussels Hash with shaved corned beef, honey-roasted brussels sprouts, country potatoes, red onions, garlic, tomatoes, cheddar jack cheese, lemon garlic aioli, parmesan, fried sage leaves and two eggs on top. Both dishes were amazing....full of flavor, and the portions were very large. We both had plenty left over to take home. The service was extraordinary...our coffee cups stayed filled and the atmosphere was a cute, bistro type vibe. A great choice and we can't wait to go back and try some other options!
So upon entry on 12/14/25 I discovered the place is guarded by a troll. There was no host/greeter at the booth upon entry, to seat me and my family. The host/greeter was in the bar area holding casual conversation as 3 parties walked in. After the designated host finished her casual conversation in the bar area, Linda or Lindsey the troll came over and seated the first party without fail. She returned immediately addressed the party that came in after me. We notified her and she instantly gets defensive and overwhelmed and then proceeds to put us off on another waitstaff person. Good so I thought the issue was resolved, no, after seating the party that arrived after us before us, she attempts to provide professional service and seat us. We again politely notified her that we would need a boot table for our 14 month old. Again this request infuriates her but she ramps it up and starts to argue with my wife. At this point I step in and request the manager. This host lady proceeds to become animated and close the distance towards my wife waving her hands to the point where I have to say "Don't touch my wife!" He apologizes for her flustered and rude behavior but damage had been done. Linda, Lindsey the troll can not handle the normal stressors of the job. Taking it out on customers should be zero tolerance. After we finally receive normal service I could help be notice how this Host/greeter is now back to smiles and casual conversation with other in the bar area. Is there no accountability here. Food and everything else was as expected but it did take away from what could have been a great experience for my wife's birthday brunch. I'm attaching a picture of the guard troll for your safety.
Another Broken Egg Café is an absolute gem! The food was delicious—fresh, flavorful, and beautifully presented. The atmosphere is warm and welcoming, perfect for families or a relaxing brunch. Despite being busy with lots of customers, the staff provided excellent service and worked hard to get our food out quickly. They even went the extra mile by printing out a princess coloring page for my daughter, which made her day! It’s rare to find a place that combines great food, friendly service, and a fantastic atmosphere like this one. I’ll definitely be coming back!
We had a party of 4 for brunch and what a delight it was! Catherine was our server and she was so friendly, professional and made a visit fantastic. The brunch was wonderful and a definite 5 star experience!
We tried this breakfast restaurant on a whim and it turned out to be amazing. Walked in and had a short 10 minute wait before being seated. It was pretty crowded inside! I ordered the biscuits and gravy which came with potatoes, eggs and a choice of meat. The biscuits were delicious! The serving size was also perfect. Not too much and not too little. We also got a side order of the beignets just to try them. Also delicious. Prices were decent. Parking was extremely limited so you may have to walk a little to get here. A great restaurant find in downtown HSV!
