Had dinner at Black + Blue with friends to celebrate several achievements and milestones, and it was an exceptional experience from start to finish. From the moment we walked in, we were greeted with warmth, professionalism, and genuine kindness. The food was outstanding, as always. We started with the beef carpaccio, butternut squash soup, and the salmon roll. Each dish was beautifully prepared with well-balanced, delicious flavours that everyone enjoyed. For our main courses, we had the surf & turf, while one of our friends ordered the Arctic char “chowder,” and everything was cooked to perfection. We ended the evening with dessert, which was the perfect way to close out the meal. I especially appreciated the beverage pairings with my courses - the recommendations complemented the food flawlessly. The attention to detail in both flavour and execution truly stood out. Hats off to the chef! A special thank you to our server, Marvin, who went above and beyond to make our dining experience memorable. His impeccable service and attentiveness made the night even more enjoyable. Thank you Marvin - we had such a great time!
My boyfriend and I came here for our anniversary dinner, it was lovely. We came for a nice lunch and were able to order from the happy hour menu, which I highly recommend. Deyan was a wonderful server, very attentive and kind. He was also very accommodating with my boyfriend’s food sensitivity. They gave us a yummy dessert for our anniversary, on the house which we really appreciated! We loved the sour surge drinks and pink pomelo. The food was top tier. Thank you Black+Blue for a wonderful anniversary.
We had such an amazing night here. The Japanese Wagyu steak was unreal — honestly one of the best steaks I’ve ever had. We shared a bunch of appetizers and everything was delicious. You really can’t go wrong with the menu. Nathalie was our server and she was fantastic — super friendly, welcoming, and really knew her stuff. She made great recommendations and just made the whole experience easy and enjoyable. We also had the Caesar salad, which was excellent, and the overall atmosphere was just great. Awesome vibe, great energy, and a place you actually want to hang out and enjoy your meal. Can’t wait to come back. Highly recommend.
Visited Black + Blue last night with friends for dinner—our first time—and it exceeded our expectations in every way. A special thank you to the wonderful server who took care of our table (I unfortunately didn’t catch her name—she had her hair neatly tied up and wore a white hair clip). From the moment we arrived, her service was warm, attentive, and truly professional. When we asked about a dish we felt was slightly underwhelming, she responded with kindness and understanding and even brought us a new dish—something we genuinely appreciated. She and the manager also checked in throughout the evening in a way that felt thoughtful and never intrusive, which made us feel very well looked after. Everything we ordered was excellent: calamari, steak tartare, burrata salad, risotto, scallops, and a T-bone steak. The steak tartare was outstanding, and the risotto was rich and creamy with a deep mushroom aroma—exactly what I hoped for. The scallops were perfectly cooked with an ideal texture, and the T-bone steak was grilled to perfection; everyone at the table was more than satisfied. Thank you as well for the cocktails she served and for the thoughtful birthday plate dessert for our friend—it was such a lovely touch and made the celebration feel even more special. Please also share our gratitude with the kitchen team—the execution was flawless, the flavors were beautifully balanced, and every plate felt thoughtfully prepared. Amazing food, atmosphere, and service. I’ll absolutely be back.
My boyfriend and I came here to celebrate his birthday and we had the best experience. The restaurant itself is very nice inside but the service was amazing. Our server Maryann was super helpful and attentive to our table. Her and the other staff went above and beyond! We ordered a 6oz Wagyu and the chateaubriand for 2 and everything was cooked perfectly and tasted delicious. Would highly recommend coming here!!
