I had a great experience at Canadian Tire. The staff were friendly, knowledgeable, and very helpful. I was able to find everything I needed easily, and the team took the time to answer my questions without rushing. The store was well organized, checkout was smooth, and overall customer service was excellent. I really appreciate the professionalism and helpful attitude. Highly recommend this location—will definitely be coming back!
The ladies who helped us inside at Customer Service and Retail are actually the best! My partner and I had to enter the store a few times during the same trip because the parts kept not fitting in my car, and the ladies who helped us were all patient and in good spirits. We thought that by the third time we walked back in, the staff would start to be a bit annoyed, but by the end of it all, we got all the parts we needed, and my car was finally ready for a complete oil change at home!
Went here looking for lightbulbs for my car. It was, of course, caged up and required a worker to help. I found a worker who, coincidentally, did not have keys for the cage. They told me they would radio someone to my section around 6ish minutes waiting still nothing. I went ahead and found another, different, worker and mentioned how I have been waiting for a bit for someone to come help and if they could come help me. What a surprise, they did not have a key to help. They said they will send someone to my aisle and to meet them there. I waited again 5minutes for another worker then gave up and left. The whole fiasco took around 20 minutes including waiting and finding a worker. This could have been a total of 5 minutes if Canadian tire equipped all their workers with proper keys. I get it, it’s New Years no one wants to work but don’t punish the customers, talk to your boss or something. Honestly, you’re better off going to a parts store because they actually care.
I was visiting family near Calgary and wanted to get a steam cleaner that was on sale for a good price. I was able to find my way there quite easily following Google Maps to the store and the outside looked fairly modern and inside was spacious, easy to find items and plenty of stock.
Canadian Tire (October 17) I booked my appointment three days in advance and arrived exactly on time at 11:00 a.m. Before booking, I confirmed both the price and the estimated time — I was told it would take about one hour. However, when I arrived, they said the job would take around two hours instead. Unfortunately, my car was sitting inside the service area for a long time without anyone working on it. In the end, I received my vehicle back only at 4:45 p.m. — after spending almost the whole day waiting at Canadian Tire. I spoke with the supervisor, Gord, who handled the situation very professionally. He understood my frustration and decided to compensate for the long waiting time by offering a free oil change, which I really appreciated. Honestly, if it wasn’t for Gord’s professionalism and kindness, my experience would have been much worse. Mistakes happen, and I respect that he took responsibility and made things right. However, I had a less positive experience with another employee who was serving me earlier. Since my English is not very strong, I felt he tried to take advantage of the situation by mentioning some unexpected extra charges — like saying I was “lucky” they didn’t charge me for setting up each TPMS sensor and trying to add about $145 for that service. He also said my oil change would no longer be included because it was used as compensation for the sensors. But once Gord came by, that topic disappeared, and in the end, I paid the exact amount we originally agreed on. The situation was unpleasant, but it was resolved properly thanks to Gord. I hope management recognizes his excellent customer service and ensures that every customer — especially those whose first language isn’t English — is treated with the same fairness and respect.
