We used Carney’s Full Service Movers for both packing and moving in July 2025 and are very happy with their service. From the initial consultation/estimate to the two days of packing and moving and beyond, the customer service was fantastic. The estimate was managed by Kenny, who did an excellent job figuring out how many hours and how much material it would take to get us from our old home to our new home. The final cost was less than expected (hooray!), but very close to the estimate, so there were no surprises there. No deposit was required – they took payment (check or cash only) when they completed the move on Day 2. On the first day of the move, Kevin, Jeremy, and Lee arrived on time and ready to go. We did a quick tour of the house to give them the lay of the land, then they went to work like gangbusters. There was no dawdling, ambling, meandering, or sauntering to be seen – these guys moved fast! Which was especially appreciated as Carney’s charged us by the hour, not by the project. They stopped for a few very short breaks, then jumped right back in. We had been planning to buy lunch for them, but on Day 1 they were so fast they were done packing everything by lunchtime (we bought breakfast the next day instead). Day 2 was moving day, and started much the same – arriving on time, jumping right in and moving quickly. At one point there was a slight mishap with a chair, but I cannot call it a negative experience as the response was what you would hope for – management responded right away, apologized, and made it right. It’s best if everything goes perfectly, but sometimes things happen and it’s all about how a company responds to and deals with challenges that count in our book. The workers went above and beyond, helping with a few things outside of the scope of the project (such as helping me remove a few screws from the wall that I could not get without a power tool, which had already been packed; getting our antenna out of the attic, etc.). Speaking of above and beyond, here is the shining moment: Jeremy found a large stash of cash that my husband had squirreled away and forgot to retrieve before moving day. Jeremy immediately called me over and handed it to me. It would have been so easy for any of them to simply pocket the money as we would likely not have noticed the loss for some time. Thank you for your honesty! That meant more to us than the money. In the late afternoon they called in several more workers to help so the move could be finished in a timely manner, at no extra cost to us. By the time the job was complete (around 5pm) everyone was tired, including us, but the Carney’s team was just as professional, courteous, and upbeat as they were on the morning of the first day. We highly recommend Carney’s Full Service Movers – they should be your first call when choosing a moving company – you will discover you will not need to make any further calls.

This is our second time using Carnerys movers since they did such a good job for us 11 years ago. This time they continued to provide excellent, professional and efficient service. The whole crew was really pleasant and friendly and seemed to get along really well. They treated our things with care and made the experience as stress free as possible for a reasonable price. I needed a same-day move for lifting a heavy piece of equipment out of my truck, and they showed up quick, with super professional equipment and a crew. I had a great experience moving across town with Carney’s movers. It was a bit of a complicated moving situation but they handled it with ease. Their communication is prompt and professional - they got back to me very quickly and we had things ironed out within just a few days of my initial inquiry. The team of 3 movers was great - not only did they show up early, they completed the job an hour earlier than estimated while still being careful and considerate. Couldn’t believe how quickly they got everything done. Moving is the worst and I hope to never do it again, but if I do I will be hiring Carneys movers.

I just moved from Reno to Meridian ID using Carney's. They did an amazing job for me and I couldn't be happier. They packed all of my glassware and nothing was chipped or broken. All of the movers were hardworking and friendly. I highly recommend them!
