I have eaten matzo ball soup in various restaurants throughout the country (I don’t know what it is - I think it’s a sentimental memory-olfactory) My husband and I moved to Fort Worth about 6 yrs. ago. He just found this Gem right before Christmas. He loves the sandwiches and I’ve found a place for the best Matzo ball soup I believe I’ve ever had…!! I wouldn’t place this comment here if I didn’t absolutely mean it. I could eat it everyday! I’m on a roll. It’s always hot and perfect every time -always consistently d’Lish! I started out buying smaller than a Large - which is all that I buy now. And someone must be very worthy for me to share with them😉😉 The staff is always friendly and efficient
Came out to Carshons for lunch today and had their famous Reuben sandwich which was good but not great. I've definitely had better at Cindi's in Dallas. The service was excellent and the Hispanic ladies running that restaurant are amazing. I had the misfortune of meeting an older white woman who was running the register and was quite rude. She barely acknowledged me and only spoke once my bill was paid up. Not sure if she is the owner but her attitude will make me never come back to this establishment. Do better, ma'am.
I ordered the Reuben sandwich and overall had a great experience. The pastrami was tender and enjoyable, though it could use a bit more flavor and salt to really make it stand out. The service was friendly and attentive, and the atmosphere was ok perfect for a lunch meal. I’d definitely come back, but I’m hoping for just a little more punch from the pastrami next time!
If you have anything in mind that this deli will be like New York, then you'll be disappointed. Roast Beef, Pastrami & Turkey all are bland with no flavors. They hardly use any cheese, all our sandwiches had only one paper thin cheese slice.
We discovered this driving by ours son’s home and put it on our bucket list. My wife loves kosher delis and one Saturday afternoon we ventured down from the Alliance area. It really isn’t much to look at from the outside and you may drive by, without even noticing. Well the inside is fairly simple too but you can see the history as you walk through it. We sat down once we walked in and found it got busier as we were there. I have to say the service is amazing here. They are quick to greet you and even quicker tend f to your orders. We didn’t like the matzo ball soup. It was bland. Not bad just needed some seasoning. The Rebecca sandwich was out of this world good. The Cole slaw and sauce coupled with the meat was phenomenal. My wife also liked her sausage plate. We split the strawberry delight dessert which was equally great.
