I don't usually write negative reviews but want to share my experience so others can make an informed decision. I brought in my 2024 MacBook for liquid damage repair. Prior to coming here, I had already visited another repair shop that performed a free diagnostic in about 10 minutes and provided me with a quotation. That shop suggested I check this location as well, mentioning they regularly work with them and that this store might offer cheaper pricing. Before coming in, I spoke with them on the phone and clearly shared the quote I had already received. I was told they would lower it for sure and that the diagnostic would be free. However, once I arrived at the store, I was told the diagnostic was not free and instead required a $30 fee, which directly contradicted what was communicated on the phone. I was also told the diagnostic would take up to three days. But the diagnostic alone ended up taking 9 full working days. As opposed to 10 minutes at the previous store. I was never informed about any delay. The only way I received updates was by making multiple phone calls myself, and even then, information was unclear and inconsistent. When I finally received the quote, it was higher than the price I had already shared from the beginning, despite being told they would try to match or lower it. I was also offered $80 to buy the laptop, which is unreasonable for a one-year-old MacBook. The most disappointing part of this experience was the communication. The manager, Alex, was extremely rude and dismissive, with no effort to explain the situation professionally or take responsibility. When I asked if someone senior could review the situation, it was brushed off. Overall, this experience involved misleading information, excessive delays for a basic diagnostic, poor communication, and unprofessional behavior.
I purchased a MacBook from them and it arrived in excellent condition at a great price. The company was professional, responsive, and provided excellent customer service throughout the process. Their pricing was noticeably lower than most other companies I researched. Highly recommend—would absolutely buy from them again.
Great group of guys, very kind and knowledgeable about what went wrong. Very understanding as to why it went wrong as well! It took them a while to get my laptop fixed, but the work they did is really really good, and if I have issues with any other electronics, I will definitely be taking them back to CompuPlus!
No frills and easy to work with. The staff was knowledgeable and quoted me a reasonable price. When I came to pick up and pay the process was easy and they did not attempt to up-charge me or anything shady. Would recommend to anyone looking for assistance with their device. Honest and hard working professionals here!! 10/10
