CAUTION APPLE OWNERS Do not go here for battery repair! We went to CPR Cell Phone Repair because both their website and the service representative said they were Apple Certified and used genuine Apple parts. We were very concerned about quality and authenticity. The next morning we brought in the iPhone and were told to come back in three hours. When we returned I immediately checked the battery capacity. It read 100%. Well you might think that was good news but it only got worse from there on out. Then I checked under Settings > Battery > General > About > Parts and Service History where I found this warning. “A non-genuine battery was installed, the original battery was replaced by an unauthorized technician.” We argued with the technician that the site and the tech we spoke to had been assured us that it would be a ‘genuine’ battery and assumed that genuine ment Apple. That was the trick! It was a ‘genuine BATTERY’ just not the Apple battery we had been promised. He assured us it would be fine and we had 30 days to return it if we were unhappy. We went home disgruntled and feeling duped. Then I charged it to full capacity. By morning and with no use it was reading 10% and a secondary warning came up saying that it was at 10% and needed recharging. I plugged it back in and continued to charge it. It still wouldn’t charge, so I shut it down. Upon turning it back on it seemed to be fully charged. I went along with my day only to have it happen again, and again and again. By then two days had gone by and Christmas was here. I had a paralyzed phone that I couldn’t use through Christmas. After the holidays we went back to CPR to have them remove it. The technician said he had to speak with his boss and held a pretty upsetting conversation with him in an unknown language. When he got off the phone he reluctantly agreed to removing the battery. We had to argue, that having a CPR battery that read 10% all the time was like having a gas gauge on you car the always read a 1/4 tank. In addition to all of this the receipt I received from CPR was for a business call Whizz Wireless. We questioned the tech and said that was the businesses original name. SKETCHY!!! Here is the kicker though, he didn’t put a battery back in when he removed it!!! So when we went to Apple to replace it they said that their cell phone replacement program only took phones with batteries. We were shocked 😳 and THEN struggled to find an authorized dealer who would work on it. Thank goodness for reputable repair shops like Jump Plus for their kindness in a stressful situation and professional service. Not only did I lose access to my phone for almost 5 days in total but I was ripped off of my Apple battery that CPR is probably getting ready to sell to someone else. Buyer beware.
Tyson and Meet provided exceptional service! They were professional, informative, and incredibly patient throughout the entire process. I really appreciated how clearly they explained everything and took the time to ensure I felt comfortable and informed. Highly recommend their service — truly a great experience! Hi, it’s me again—this is my second time here. I had to come from Toronto to Hamilton because this was the closest place my insurance covered for the repair. Honestly, they made it completely worth it. They got everything done in one visit and Abhai was amazing. I'm super grateful!
Really impressed by the honesty. I couldn’t charge my phone for couple of days from cable been using wireless so far i went there and Meet helped me fix my charging port. Apparently instead of charging me for a new charging port he just cleaned it and it started working again. Remind you i have been to other location for same issue while they told me price for replacing my charging port. Well I am your regular from now own guys.
I stopped by because my iPhone wasn't charging properly, and the tech quickly diagnosed the issue, turns out it was just a dirty charging port. He cleaned it out right away, completely free of charge, and my phone charges perfectly again. Super friendly, honest, and helpful service. I really appreciate how he went above and beyond without trying to upsell anything. Highly recommend! Thanks again :)
Needed my charging port repaired and the good man at the counter took care of my problem and assisted my with my questions. I would definitely recommend this spot for anyone needing cell phone repairs!
