Pretty busy even on a rainy day. They have specialty durian and pandan cakes that I don't see very often. They are known for their Pate Chaud which are super delicious. However their other buns are pretty disappointing. The custard bun and cocktail bun had an embarrassing amount of filling.
Great asian styled cakes. White sponge with fresh strawberries. Lovely and talented decorating skills !
Evonne made the best cakes for my wedding! She was really easy to work with and accommodated us well. Multiple of our guests shared that they don't normally like cake, but really liked these! The cakes were light and fresh with the perfect amount of frosting. Highly recommend to anyone needing a cake for an event. All the flavors we tried were so delicious!
Update: After tasting the pineapple pie, I've decided to give it another star. If I go back again and the pastries are better than expected, I will update my review. ***** When walking into a bakery in the morning, I would expect a whiff of fresh baked goods. I didn't smell any fresh baked goods, and I didn't see anyone baking in the back room. There was no long line out the door like my other favorite bakeries in Chinatown. Those should have been signs to keep on walking and go elsewhere, but I wanted to give this place a chance. I asked the nice lady at the counter if the pastries were baked fresh. She said yes, so I picked up a dozen pastries for a gathering. Sadly, my family and friends were quite disappointed in the quality of the baked goods. NO one said the pastries were delicious at all. The common feedback was the buns were all too bready and stingy on the fillings or toppings. The cream horn was bland and very stale. The pies were just OK. I doubt I will come back again unless I desperately want to try the other pastries.
Ils font toujours le gâteau comme je le veux ! J’adore la façon dont ils peuvent le personnaliser pour nous. Je commande toujours des gâteaux pour des occasions spéciales chez eux. Pandan coconut, red velvet et egg custard font partie des favoris !
