I ordered 2 giant apples and one box of peppermint cookies and received only one apple. I called and left 3 messages with no returned call and emailed the email listed on their invoice and it bounced back "undeliverable" like my second apple and cookies. I can pnly assume that they are so busy selling that they have no one to handle customer service.
Very disappointing experience. I have bought their apples for years for my clients. This year I had ordered an apple to be delivered and it never arrived. They said that it said it was delivered, but as I repeatedly told them that it wasn't received. They refused to refund my purchase. I will never buy from them again.
Order an Apple in September with a ship date of Dec 16 2025. So a friend with cancer would get a gift for Christmas. The friend is 100 mile from Dunn. The date they are now saying they will receive it is Dec 27. I have a business and ship a lot of packages! It should be a max of 3 days shipping. Dunn will never receive another order from me ..Period. Oh.. just to let you know I order cookies in September 2025 it took weeks for her to receive them. So it show they just don't care for their customers.
Good product. TERRIBLE shipping and customer service. For the third year in a row, shipping was botched on a large order. Two years ago, all of the boxes arrived dented and/or torn. I had to call RD Chocolates and have them ship flat boxes to me so I could repack all of the apples from the damaged boxes to new ones. Last year’s apples arrived too late to be received by my client—company was closed for the holiday so they were all tossed in the trash. This year, I ordered on 12/8 and was informed they would arrive by 12/19 but they did not—apparently RD Chocolates forgot to process my order. It took me calling them on 12/19 for them to ship (west coast to east coast) on 12/20. I’ve been ordering apples for over 20 years—big orders, not just one or two. Over the past few years, quality has deteriorated significantly. No offer of a refund or make-good or credit to use toward a future order. Just excuses. I give them money and they give me excuses. Not OK!!!
This is the factory, they can do sales but it's not a true shop or showroom. Mostly for order pickups. But the folks in there were super nice! Can't wait to eat this giant Apple!
